Sunday reading recap (2-Sep-2018)
y’all know i enjoy a hot summer to offset the nightmare winters i gotta live through but i am fucking OVER IT. let’s get to the chilly rainy days, the hot chocolate, the sweatshirts, the fuzzy blankets.(but put off the snow & subzero temps for as long as possible)
Private Charter (N.R. Walker, 244 pgs) - this made me want to book a private charter to sail around the south pacific (but IRL without the sex & relationship stuff).
Tied to Home (Ames Bridge #3, Silvia Violet, 176 pgs) - entertaining little small-town, age difference, lite BDSM read
Family Placement (notlucy) - Stucky, 88K, basically a Little House on the Prarie AU, which every fandom should have
A Full Plate (Kim Fielding, 218 pgs) - ‘roommates as a favor’ between an amateur chef and a high-powered lawyer. very tasty
After the Weekend (Love and Care #2, Silvia Violet) - i loved loved loved that we got to see the continuation of Graham & Aubrey’s relationship. I enjoy them as characters and really liked seeing them work out their dynamic and boundaries as their relationship developed. I suspect this is the last book to focus on them, but there were a few other couple set ups that I’ll be pleased to see develop.also the sex remains hot
Additional Information series (notlucy) - 124K total, Stucky, office AU with a bit of a age difference/sugar baby twist - Steve’s a C-suite exec, Bucky’s a PR new hire. The main fic is Proprietary Information (85K) + additional assorted fics that are either different POVs/timestamps from the main fic or vingnettes from later in the timeline.
Fav read of the week: another week where everything was very damn satisfying! I might pick After The Weekend, only because I had the most emotional investment in those characters already? But honestly, everything was solidly enjoyable.
