I accidentally sent this to a random gc full of homophones but I spammed hottogo lyrics to cover it up. My friends thought it was silly.

The buzz of the Daily Planet was a sound you'd rather hear right now but you couldnt think straight, the thumping bass of the speakers threating to blow out above you made sure of that as well as the annoying laughter of your friends. It had started innocently enough, happy hour, a few well-deserved drinks after a particularly stressful week.
You weren't a big drinker but hey, a few shots wouldnt hurt right? You deserved it. But one round turned into two, then three, then a series of brightly colored drink you didn't even know the name of seemed to vanish as quickly as they appeared.
The world started to tilt. Room spinning as the flashing lights made you fall over once or twice. Heels might've not been the best idea after all. Conversations became a something you definitely wont remember in the morning and your limbs felt like they belonged to someone else. You giggled at nothing, leaning heavily on a friend who would rather keep eye fucking the guys she's talking to then make sure you're alright.
One moment, your group of friends were there, promising to "always have your back" and "keep you safe" The next, they were gone, having apparently left with a group of party animals who wanted to keep getting shit faced, or that's at least what the bartender told you.
A sudden chill snaked its way down your spine. The music still blared, but a wave of dizzying panic washed over you. You needed to get out of here. Fumbling for your phone, vision going in and out. Who could you call? Your parents were hours away and your other friends were probably asleep.
Damn you ready should've stayed in and watched trash TV. Then, your thumb hovered over a familiar contact. Clark 'sweetheart of a man' Kent. Your work friend, the quiet, unassuming reporter who always seemed to know exactly what to say, even when you didn't realize you needed to hear it. A smile crept onto your face before disappearing. You didn't want him to see you like this but you had no one else, and you sure as hell weren't gonna catch a ride from a guy in here. So you called him.
The screen blurring as you put the phone to your ear. "C-Clark?" you slurred, trying to sound normal but failing miserably. Doesnt help that he can barley hear you over the blasting music.
His voice, even through the speaker, was calm, grounding. "Hey, name. Everything alright? You sound a little... out of it."
God he even sounded pretty, you felt a twing in your heart.
"No!" you yelled. Feeling so angry that you have to resort to calling this sweet man to come get your drunk ass "My friends, they left me! And I'm really, really drunk, Clark. Really, really drunk."
A soft sigh on the other end. "Alright, just tell me where you are. I'm on my way."
True to his word, it felt like only moments later that a familiar blue truck pulled up to the curb. You remember him telling you about how he helped his dad build it back up for him, he was such a cutie. You swayed your way to the passenger door, fumbling with the handle until it clicked open.
Clark's kind eyes, usually hidden behind his glasses, were clear and filled concerned as he helped you into the seat. The scent of coffee and subtle cologne filled the car. You could tell he wanted to say something, ask why you were there but he bit back.
The quiet hum of the engine as he pulled away from the curb was a good contrast from the buzzing club. You leaned your head against the head rest, watching the city lights blur past as the warmth coming from the heater felt wonderful. The alcohol, rather than putting you to sleep, seemed to loosen your tongue.
"You know, Clark," you began, your words a little slurred but fiercely earnest, "you're just... the best." A small giggle was let out as you sighed. Turning your head to see his eyes fixated on the road, he was so cute when he was focused.
He chuckled softly. "Just trying to get you home safe, name."
"No, I mean it," you insisted, pushing yourself up to face him, well more so just look at him as he was still looking at the road "Like, you're always so good. And kind. And strong. Not just physically, you know? Like, morally. Is that the word? Morally strong. You always do the right thing. And you listen. And you're so smart. I've alway-"
you paused, the words catching in your throat, why does this always happen. You get drunk and suddenly word vomit. Its not like you're lying though, youve always found Clark attractive but not just that, a good person too. "I've always looked up to you, Clark. More than anyone. Sometimes, I think... maybe it's more than just admiration... it's something deeper, something close to..."
You trailed off, the last word hung between you two. The car ride was silent, except for the for the gentle hum of the tires on the road, hitting a few small rocks here and there. Clark didn't say anything, just kept his gaze steady on the road, though you could feel the subtle shift in the atmosphere, a quiet acknowledgment of what you had just confessed. You couldn't tell if it was uncomfortable silence, I mean anytime your with him it's never uncomfortable.
Finally, the car pulled to a stop outside your apartment building. Clark turned off the engine, pocketing the keys before turning to face you fully, his brow furrowed with a gentle concern.
"Alright, we're here," he said softly. "Are you alright? Do you need help getting inside? I can stay for a bit, just to make sure you're settled and don't..."
You were confused, why didn't he day anything about what you blurted out? Was he that oblivious. No surely not or maybe he actually was. Maybe he thought you were his superfan or something. No you had to show him.
With enough confidence of a drunk girl in blistering heels, you unbuckle your belt and Before he could finish his sentence. you leaned over, one hand bracing on his shoulders and the other going towards his hard as you pressed your lips to his.
It was a soft, surprising kiss, tasting faintly of your last drink but undeniably warm. He was shocked but fell into it. The car filled with groaning as you pull back, much to your dismay. his eyes wide in the dim light. Curly hair messy from what you did to it.
His panting was audible and you'd be lying if you said you didn't want to go back in for more "Goodnight, Clark," you whispered, grabbing the car door handle and stumbling out of the truck, letting him sitting in the quiet darkness, leaving him to figure out if he should follow you or go back home.
