trying to rip a sim and i keep getting this error? anyone who can help me is so beautiful
Hi love! I am currently trying to make a pose with a sim ripped from SimRipper and the pose came out perfectly, but when I try it in game, they just T pose. I'm doing the locrot and everything, regular poses made without models work, so am I doing something wrong? I'm supposed to remove the sim from Blender right? Any help would be great! Maybe just walk me through the exporting process? Thank you so much!
Hi. I’m gonna attempt to help you a bit, but I would like to point out, that I specifically mentioned that I would not help in that regard on both of posts for sim ripper.
But, like I said, I’ll help right quick.
If you are using Blender 2.8x or 2.9, your pose will not show up in game. Sims 4 Studio does not work with Blender 2.8. It works with 2.79. If you really want to do it anyway, a work around is to select all of the joints, copy them (press ctrl+c), and paste them on a blank sims 4 studio rig in blender 2.79. Then, do the locrot and everything in 2.79. Make sure both 2:79 and 2.8 are open because it speeds the process up and you can check to make sure it’s working.
If you are in 2.79 and this is still an issue, do the same. Copy and past on a different rig.
Edit: And, no. You do not have to remove the sim before you import it into S4S. It will work with the sim in it. Don’t worry!
You’re welcome!
hey, what is SimRipper and how do you use it to make poses? do you have a tutorial? thanks in advance
Hi! You don’t NEED SimRipper to make poses, you can just do that with Blender and base sim rigs, however SimRipper allows specific sims to be used to pose.
The base sim in Blender doesn’t have any clothing or hair and the body types are the same, but by using SimRipper you can use any sim you want to make poses. Different body types, clothing, hair, you can make poses with it all.
