Laurel: I've been planning something... Magnolia: Really? Tell me. Laurel: We’re rich now, Maggie. The ranch is thriving, the winery’s taking off. What if we finally took that honeymoon? We could take the kids too. Mt. Komorebi. They’ve never even seen snow. Magnolia: Snow? Laurel: Snow! Mountains, hot springs, festivals… Magnolia: I don't want to kill your enthusiasm... But you might want to rethink that idea for now...

The seasons moved gently around them. The triplets grew taller every day. Laurel felt proud of the life she had carved with her own two hands. The winery was flourishing, the horses were strong, and for once in her life, everything felt steady.

Magnolia, too, had settled into this rhythm. But something inside her had shifted. She had never imagined herself as a mother before Laurel, not in any real sense. But watching them… Magnolia couldn’t help but feel like they weren’t just “Laurel’s kids” anymore. They were hers, too.

And then Pretzel was born.

Dusty Rose’s foal arrived in the quiet of a spring evening, legs wobbly, eyes impossibly bright. Magnolia stood there, stunned, watching the little creature press close to its mother. “How could anything so perfect come from Rose?” she whispered, and Pretzel blinked at her with innocent trust. That was the moment Magnolia knew she couldn’t turn away from the idea of creating life with Laurel anymore.

Laurel noticed the change. One morning, as they ate together in the kitchen, she reached for her wife’s hand. “Mags,” she said softly, “I’ve done all I ever wanted to. I’m happy... So… what about you? What do you want?”

The first was simple: spend a day in Oasis Springs. And so they went. It wasn’t a grand trip, but it was theirs... For Magnolia, it felt like stepping into another world, although it was also a desert.

When they returned, Laurel teased her about her list. “So what’s next, cowgirl?"

Magnolia’s smile was soft, secretive, and a little shaky. “Well... The next thing’s smaller than what we just did. But it’ll make us very, very happy.”

Laurel: So are you finally telling me her name? Mags: Yes... Iris. Laurel: Iris? Mags: My mother liked flowers. She used to say they stood for courage and hope. I want our daughter to carry all those things and always have a piece of my mother with her. Laurel: Then, Iris it is. The perfect name for a perfect little girl.

The triplets are teens now, and Iris was born to Laurel and Magnolia. We are done with Laurel, so here comes Generation 2: Blueberry with Madeline!

As time went by, Magnolia noticed how much Laurel loved animals and plants. Every day, as soon as she dropped the children off at daycare, she was there: talking to her horse, tending the garden, present in every detail. Laurel, always busy, noticed Magnolia in a different way: strong, mysterious, someone who intrigued her. But Laurel was shy, and silence stretched between glances and unspoken words.

Timeskip! So... While Laurel raised her triplets alone, she needed a hand with the ranch. Then, she hired a quiet lady who has been living on the town's square all her life. She knew everything about ranch life, making her the perfect candidate for the job. More perfect than Laurel realized at first.

Magnolia wasn't romantic, but still, she was the one who proposed to Laurel when they went on a walk downtown to sell produce.

Magnolia didn't have anyone before besides her childhood horse, Dusty Rose. But Laurel's family opened their arms to her. So much changed that night... Mainly because Milkshake died during their wedding night.
