heyo, due to the whole computer things, I might not be participating in simblreen this year, which is kinda sad 😭 My computer is currently not throwing a bitch fit, so we'll see if that lasts through the weekend. if it does, I'll probably make some hair retextures or wall art just to have something for the 'porch' lol. Or maybe some defaults. 🤔 idk.

In any case, I'll probably be reblogging some of my older CC and last years simblreen posts. so if you don't want to see that, block "tzr" because I tag all my self-reblogs that, no matter how much time has passed lmao.

Simblreen 2021 Day 1: Oceanborn - Dúlamán

“It has been quite a year, hasn’t it traveler? Come, sit down, get a warm drink and listen to my new tale. Today I’d like to tell you all about the world below; the world both foreign and vital to our existence; let me tell you about the ocean. The ocean is a mysterious yet very lively place. As diverse in its environments as the world above. Along the coast you may find Great Kelp Forests. Dense and green, the occasional coral or sea anemone peeking through as fish pass through these great curtains of seaweed. It is here where many fish start their life.”

Welcome to Simblreen 2021 everyone! This year we’re starting off in the depths of the ocean with a variety of conversions from Tomb Raider Underworld.

First, you get 9 new terrain paints for your underwater or beach environments. Next up we have a table coral with a couple of recolors for variety as well as two sea anemones. These are just decorative and serve no special function. They sure look pretty though and the polycount’s not bad either.

And finally, you get a grand total of 10 new kelp. All of them are rather tall, as befitting a “tree of the sea“ There’s 5 different varieties in 2 heights. Now don’t stop reading yet! As these kelp have a lil bonus function: Sims with midgethetree’s Mermaid Trait, may snack on these kelp “trees“ once every few hours.

This means that this set requires Easy Inventory Check

All of the objects can be found in Gardening -> Trees

Simblreen Day 1

Let’s start small with a creepy, abandoned starter home, shall we?

⚠️ 🚧 This abandoned starter home is in need of a LOT of T.L.C. and you just may be the Sim it needs to restore it to working condition! Sure walls and floor tiles may be missing, but look past all the weeds and ivy growth and see the untapped beauty. This two bedroom, one bath fixer-upper has an eat-in kitchen, nice sized living room and even some backyard space with garden plots, chess and a grill. There is even space for a canine companion with a pet bed, food bowl and a bone. The previous squatter, err, resident was even nice enough to leave behind some... um, "well loved" furniture, a tent and car to work on! Once all the vegetation is removed, you’ll have money for a fridge. (NOTE: Sims only entry is the backdoor, until "hazards" are lifted. ;) No fire or burglar alarm either, so sleep with one eye open!) ⚠️ 🚧

No CC - All EPs and SPs installed. A clone of this lot was playtested with no issues. (Thank you HugeLunatic for the buyable weeds!)

Simblreen 2021 Day 3: Oceanborn - Ocean Planet

“Well, traveler, this tale is clearly coming to its end as all tales do eventually. But before we retreat for the night, I’d like to reflect on the ocean for a minute. For all its rage, it’s also a beautiful place. A place we cannot inhabit, yet we are reliant on, harboring great beauty and great danger. I fear we may have only skimmed the surface of what it holds. But what lurks in the depths, now that’s a tale for another day. For now, I bid you farewell. Till we meet again, traveler.“

And SImblreen 2021 weekend Nr. 1 comes to an end, wrapping up Oceanborn for now. Today you get 4 new objects from Tomb Raider Underworld. A kelp “palm“, a fan coral, some sea grass and some (red) algae. The kelp palm is repositoried to the kelp master from Day 1. This mesh has been included for convenience.

Furthermore, you also get 5 recolors of Fractured Moonlight’s Scene Bubble. This mesh has also been included. The textures are a modest 1024x1024 as compared to the original 2048x2048, so it should be fairly light on your graphics.

If you have not downloaded Day 1, then just know that the kelp can be snacked on every few hours by sims with midgethetree’s Mermaid Trait. The kelp requires Easy Inventory Check .

All new objects can be found in Gardening - > Trees. Frac’s scene Bubble can be found in Deco - > Plants

Everything has been compressorized. Previews and a collection file are included. Please make sure to replace the collection file from Day 1 with the new one included in this set. The Collection file for Day 1 has been updated with the newest version as of Oct 29 2021

Simblreen 2021 Day 2: Oceanborn - Oceandeep

“The ocean is a big place. Unlike the open skies of the land above, which allows you to see across plains and forests, mountains and valleys, the ocean water limits visibility like fog. It can therefore be difficult to see where a kelp forest begins and ends. Always assume there’s more than you can see.“

It’s Simblreen day 2 and for this special occasion, you get a set of NH Deco matching the objects of day 1. They’re quite small compared to other NH Deco as shown in the preview, but they can provide just a little bit more variety to your underwater neighborhood. Please note that these are repositoried. Master files are clearly indicated. Don’t remove them unless you want blue flashing.

Non-underwater hoods should also be able to use these as they should be placeable under the water surface as well.

Tis Spooktober

Good news: I have finally managed to log in to Tumblr on PC! Gosh, it’s been a while. Writing posts on mobile just isn’t the same.

This may also be a good time to announce that I’ll be participating in Simblreen again this year.

If everything goes according to plan, I’ll be sharing something new every day and hopefully I can also release the stuff from weekend 2 that I was unable to complete and publish last year (rl issues unfortunately got in the way).

There’s not an awful lot of Sims 2 blogs participating this year (as of date of writing there are just seven, including yours truly), so you know. If you’re a sims 2 simmer and you’re up for some Halloween fun, this is your chance! Head on over to @simblreenofficial for more info.
