THE CORRECT SIMILARMINDS RESULTS
Okay I’m back from brunch! That was a delicious omelet and cocktail and I have a couple hours before I head to the party. How’s it going? Good? Alright.
Similarminds: all 110 respondents. (I’m doing this out of order because the excel formulas don’t work on Truity that well as it was so indecisive. I’m working my way up to that nonsense).
Totally correct: 36.4%
Correct but may be incorrect on I/E: 43.6%
Perceiving axis: 49.1% correct and in the proper order, 12.7% right axis wrong order, 38.2% incorrect
Judging axis: 65.5% correct and correct order, 7.3% right axis wrong order, 27.3% incorrect
E/I: 78.2% correct
N/S: 59.1% correct
F/T: 80% correct
J/P: 77.3% correct
Extroverts correctly typed as extroverts: 76.9%
Introverts correctly typed as introverts: 79.5%
Sensors correctly typed as sensors: 74.1%
Intuitives correctly typed as intuitives: 45.2%
Thinkers correctly typed as thinkers: 87.3%
Feelers correctly typed as feelers: 70.2%
Perceivers correctly typed as perceivers: 84.6%
Judgers correctly typed as judgers: 70.7%
OK this tells a much different (and arguably less grim) story.
Pretty good at introversion vs. extroversion, and we’re actually seeing a test better at typing the sensors here. It’s also a little biased towards thinkers and perceivers, and it’s definitely dichotomy-based.
This got me thinking and here’s results for NJs vs NPs since intuitive typing wasn’t great
37.2% of NJs typed as such
71.9% of NPs typed as such (actually better than the sensor groups: 66.7% of SJs typed as such and 41.7% of SPs did. The reason for the high sensor numbers is that the mistyped SJs all typed as SPs; all of the mistyped SPs typed as NPs)
Digging a little deeper: 34.9% of NJs typed as SJs and 7% of NJs typed as NPs.
So I think it’s safe to say that this test has an Ne/Si axis bias in the questions, which isn’t surprising. To double check that hypothesis:
Ne/Si axis users correctly typed as being on that axis: 69.1%; 60% got the axis in the right order.
Se/Ni axis users: 54% on the axis, 38.2% with the correct axis in the correct order.
I won’t do this further analysis every time, and I think there are confounding factors beyond the tests themselves, but I’ll try whenever there’s a big discrepancy in the sensitivity/specificity numbers.
So, I took another test at the same site that typed me as ENTP yesterday, (this test got your enneagram too). AND IT WAS RIGHT!
Omg, at last!
But, as I said in the other post, I have a well developed intuitive side, and It was shown here: 50% Intuitive 50% Sensitive. I don’t know why it choose the S instead of N but, congratulations, random test!
