"Stand back, I've got this!" Rex yelled, spreading his hands wide in front of the E.V.O. The stupid thing had chosen a bad spot to pick a fight— smack dab in the center of all the civilians milling about. Well, actually, most of them were running now- flailing their arms, shouting things like, 'Where's Providence!?'. Pssh. He counted as an agent of the organization, too... 'just dealt with things in a different way; that's all.
The teenager had already brought out a gleaming orange-and-silver cannon, letting the maw from behind pick up a chunk of tarmac. Then he leveled the opening at the E.V.O, and shouted, "Open wide, ugly!"
