Someone please explain to me why I’ve never noticed this plaque in Appaloosa Plains with maybe the only mention of canonical years on it.

Lord & Lady Shallot of Windenburg, 1892

Lord Bernard Escargot Shallot IV married Lady Mimsy Alrcorn( later better know as Lady Mimsy Alcorn Shallot) in 1892. It was an arranged marriage to save the lord’s Von Haunt estate.

Though not a marriage made from love it would grow into a passionate love affair still talked about in modern days. Lasting for six loving years until its abrupt end by a fire which is suspected to have started when Bernard, notable for burning his paintings, tossed one of his failed artworks in one of the fireplaces.

Just a little something because I’m a history buff and love the lore of the games. I’m thinking of maaaaaaaybe trying to do a history legacy challenge wibbly wobbly story thing starting in late 1800s and were these guys might be featured as side characters. But we’ll see how it goes. I enjoyed making this picture though and touching up on my photo editing skills.

Teen Boys love their Families Too!

I have been playing this game for over a decade and I still have moments of awareness that knock me silly. Not little things, like seeing a Sim clean a window for the first time, or stuff the Weather Man says.

But big things.

Like noticing that Maxis never made a single playable male Family Sim teen.

Not one!

Here are the BG Stats - 2 Romance Sims. 2 Fortune Sims. 5 (five!) Popularity Sims.

In comparison, there are three female Family Sims. (Heck, 4, f you count the omnipresent Meadow Thayer.) (And 2 Pop and a Romance (and no Fortune Sims. Hmm.).

With the EPs, there’s now 4 male Fortune teens and 9 (nine!) Popularity. (Although, okay, that’s counting Fricorith Tricou.)

Girls get 2 more Popularity Sims, 2 Knowledge Sims, and one more Family Sim. And one whole Fortune Sim, if you count the dead Gvaudoin Tricou.

There are no male Knowledge teens.

Nine Popularity Sims! That’s a lot of Popularity Sims.

So here’s my first question (although I have lots of questions). I love the premades to death. But all those Popularity Sims!

Someone posted by simlore post on r/thesims and I’m going crazy. Bonehilda is a sentient being with freewill. She drinks when she’s out of her casket and not busy.

Also, the Plumbots and Servos are also capable of sentient behavior. It seems like all Servos are built that way and Plumbots literally have a chip for sentience. Yet they can be turned off? And Sold???

JFC there’s a Plumbot fighting arena in Oasis Landing? Are they battling sentient creatures against each other??

Ohh, tiny idea: Maybe you can incorporate some kind of sims-equalent of "Wolfram & Hart" (from the TV-series Angel). If you play with the Tricous, those could perhaps run it.

Confession Time: I like Buffy a lot (except for when I think it’s intolerable) but I’ve never actually watched Angel? I know! (I haven’t even finished Buffy because I keep rage-quitting when I try.)

However!

I am super into a giant mystery-themed pre-made AU. Maybe with different themes for each hood? Like Veronaville Law is (fill this in later), Downtown is a supernatural detective agency thing, Riverblossom Hills is Agatha Christie themed, Belladonna Cove is a series of Columbo episodes …

And they all mix together into a big Uberhood soup.

That is a very important question and believe me, it is all I can think about. They do exist in this AU. I think Romeo is back in Veronaville raising llamas and Juliette is running the family winery and making bottles of Capp Cabernet? And both are leaning against fence posts and sighing while they think of the other?

Hermia is a cool artist or a museum curator or possibly an environmental lawyer because everyone’s lawyers now.
