The Sims 3: Strangetown | Sims 2 to 3 Conversion

It's finally done: my very own version of Strangetown from the Sims 2! Including all your favourite sims like Olive Specter, the Curious brothers and PollinationTech#9. Enjoy!

I'm super excited to be finally able to share this project after years of working on this world. Initially, this was meant to be a strict Sims 2 conversion, but as time went on I decided I needed more and more lots... until it had (literally) become something way bigger. This is still a work in progress, though, so if you encounter any bugs or problems please reach out to me and tell me about them!

Currently known issues:

"Three is a crowd for romance..." pops up when you load the world for the first time

Pascal Curious' body becoming invisible when pregnancy shows

The zip-file includes the world and a merged package file including a few decorative cc object that'll improve the world's aesthetics. Additionally you might want to download Misty's University Life Rabbithole Rugs to be able to use the custom uni in this world. If you want to use them, you'll also need to install Nraas Careers.

The Cata-Tinka House

I saw the german Sims 3 Advent Calendar on YouTube and got a bit of inspiration from Kata (Simmortality). So today I absolutely had to build a house that meets my expectations. And I love it ..!

Château du Rose - A resort for Champs les Sims

I've always thought that it was a shame that World Adventures only focused on the Adventures. Sometimes my Sims just wanna go on vacation and relax! So I built a resort for them in Champs les Sims and thought you might enjoy it as well.

Your Sims will still arrive at the base camp, but you can just check them into the resort like you would in your home world.

Sunset Valley University

Heute habe ich ein paar Grundstücke für euch, die ihr in euren Nachbarschaften platzieren und so auch dort studieren könnt. Gebaut wurde sie in Sunset Valley, aber geht natürlich auch in anderen Welten :-) Einen tieferen Einblick bekommt ihr in diesem Video auf meinem Kanal: https://youtu.be/FgSpawfXIFM

 Bei den drei Grundstücken handelt es sich um ein Hauptgebäude (gekennzeichnet als Studentenverband). Hier finden die Vorlesungen statt und ich habe die Rabbithole Rugs für Verwaltungszentrum und verschiedene Fakultäten platziert. Dann gibt es noch eine Sporthalle (für eure Sport-Studenten, auch mit passendem Rabbithole ausgestattet) und als drittes ein Café (gekennzeichnet als Studenten-Treffpunkt), wo die Praxiskurse für den Studiengang Kommunikation stattfinden. Für andere Studiengänge ist es auch noch empfehlenswert, eine Bibliothek und ein Fitnesscenter in der Nachbarschaft zu haben, aber die sind ja idR sowieso vorhanden.

Today I got some new lots for you which you can place in your world for your sims to be able to go to uni there. It was built in Sunset Valley, but of course you can place them in any world.

The first lot contains the main building (marked as student union). This is where the lectures take place and I’ve placed Misty’s rabbithole rugs for the administration center and various colleges. The next one is the annex (for your sports students, also equipped with a suitable rabbithole rug) and thirdly a café (marked as a university hangout), where the practical courses for the Communication students will take place. For other courses it is also recommended to have a library and a fitness centre in the neighbourhood, but these are usually available anyway.

 For these lots to work properly you’ll have to get Misty’s rabbithole rugs:
