If it’s okay to ask…Since Simon is deaf does he primarily communicate via ASL,Text to Speech,Writing Stuff down etc.? Would the MC be able to learn or know ASL? -please remember to drink water!-

So, I decided that in the world of Powered, ASL/sign language is a part of the general school curriculum. Why? Frankly, because it makes sense. It's a hugely useful way of communicating, not only for deaf/hard of hearing people, but also some autistic people who cannot/don't want to talk verbally, people at a concert where the music is too loud to hear speaking well, and so many more examples.

So, to answer your question— the MC does know ASL/sign language by default, as do all their friends and almost everyone they'll meet. For this reason, it is comfortably Simon's main way of communicating. He does carry a fancy notebook around, but it is mostly used for doodles and notes for himself :D

I'm still debating whether to include an option for MC to be deaf, considering it does create more work for me, but also would be relatively easy in this world, so it very well could happen! Is this something people would be interested in?

3. Flustered

Simon doesn't get flustered easily, but when he does it's adorable. He usually does something silly to disperse the awkward athmosphere, but if you look at him closely he'll still be looking down at the floor, not meeting anyone's eyes.

What is their morning routine? What are the first things they do when they wake up?

[Note: this is before the beginning of the story, while they all still live at home]

Daniel is that guy who wakes up pretty early naturally but goes back to sleep because he doesn't want to face the day yet. He sleeps in one of those bunk beds with his little brother in the top bunk, but Adam is usually already gone by the time he gets up. He spends about half an hour putting on clothes and getting ready, then he goes for a short morning jog to get his mind fresh for the day.

Indigo sleeps in a hammock five meters above the ground to make it easier on their body, so the first thing they do when they wake up (after letting out their braid) is to roll out of it and fall for a few seconds before slowing the motion and landing upright. This helps them kickstart their body and get out of the groggy state. Then they do some light stretches, brush their hair and redo their braid before they're ready to take on the day.

Simon wakes up early naturally and likes it that way. He unravels his head scarf, throws on a shirt and goes outside to breathe in the morning air for a couple of minutes before going back inside to get ready.

Jake is neither an early riser nor late. The house is pretty quiet when he gets up, since his parents have already gone to work and Rosie's sleeping in, so he tends to just sit down somewhere and take a moment to go over his plans for the day. Then he goes to get dressed and eat.

Nathan deals with pretty bad morning anxiety at times, so it's not his favorite part of the day. He usually lies in bed for about 15 minutes to an hour before getting up to get ready, starting with a cold shower to shock him truly awake.
