If Simons soft little handies don't work well in helping him How does he feel about . Receiving outside help from say A friend. or somethingAsking for. Someone. ⚆﹏⚆;
This ask and a few other similar ones gave me an excuse to doodle t h e s e
Basically Simon’s snout is extremely sensitive—you could give him much needed relief…or tease out an endless fit of sneezing, depending on the intention and how you go about it 🤭
Basically their relationship
Yeah he’s overstimulated alright
HAHA ITS HERE. A PART TWO OF THIS, featuring Pastel!! CW: mess, inducing, poor grammar/unedited work because the author is tired and horny, alien snz+talking about alien biology
"What's going to kill you in the process?"
Simon nearly jumped out of his skin at the unexpected voice. Fur bristling, he whirled around, fully prepared to come face to face with a human.
He was greeted by the sight of Pastel instead. He wondered how they got that close that fast, but he reasoned they must've snuck up on him while he was occupied with his sneezing fit. He found his fur flattening, "Oh. Its just you."
They sported the same t-shirt and cardigan they always wore, though this time the cardigan was blue, matching the sky above them almost perfectly. He squinted at them. Did Pastel just have a collection of the same exact cardigan in different colours? Did their clothes magically change colour? Maybe they weren't wearing clothes at all, and it was some sort of camouflaging exoskeleton. He huffed. With Pastel, anything was possible. It was best not to question it.
"No need to sound so disappointed." If Pastel was upset, it was impossible to tell. Their face remained as unchanging as ever as they turned their static smile towards Simon. "It's a wonder you're outside. Do you realize how high the pollen count is today?"
They didn't exactly sound too concerned over this. In fact, they sounded excited. Like they were well aware of the effect and looking forward to the results. Simon couldn't say he was surprised.
Simon sighed, "Well my intention was to get fresh air, but..." He waved his 'arm' around him vaguely, indicating the amount of invisible irritants in the air. "No such luck." Pastel finished for him, cheerful as ever. They stood there for a moment in silence together, watching the view. Despite the unrelenting allergens, it was a rather nice day. Plenty of sun, a pleasant breeze.
Earth was, admittedly, a very pretty place, and Simon wished he could enjoy it a little more. Unfortunately, this planet seemed hell bent on wrecking his immune system every minute it got. Maybe he'd adapt as time went on, but for now...
Pastel bent down and plucked a pollen-laden flower out of the tall grass, examining it. "Awfully pretty, aren't they?" Simon snuffled thickly. His snout hadn't stopped running since he had stepped outside, and he was having a hard time containing the mess. He wiped the underside of his snout with a squelching sound. "ghuh... If you say so." "Perhaps you'd like a closer look?" Pastel suggested sweetly, sidling up to Simon and holding the flower up under his nose. His snout immediately began to quiver upon contact, and he barely had time to react before he snapped forward, dissolving into a fit of itchy, messy sneezes, "ehH..ah...eh-Hh'EHHSHIIIEW!! AshhUUWw!! gh-ghsssSSHIEW!! ah....oh by god..huhhH...huH-AtCHiieWw! eh-ahh...ahuh...ESHH'eEW!!
Once he had finished, the flower in Pastel's hand was drenched from the spray, its petals scattered everywhere.
"You're a nuisance." Simon grumbled, shoving Pastel's hand away from his face. "This pollen has had me sneezing unprompted for hours, I promise you don't need to trigger more." He scowled, voice dripping with a mixture of sarcasm and congestion.
Pastel, to their credit, had the decency to look sheepish. At least, Simon thought that's what that expression was. It was hard to tell, considering their face basically stayed the same. "Sorry, got a little excited." They apologized. "Suppose we should go inside?" Simon sighed, "It's like you just can't help yourself sometimes." He muttered, but the frustration had already left him. He gestured for Pastel to lead the way, and they headed back home.
Once they had retreated into their cabin (making sure no humans or other earthly creatures were following them), Simon made a beeline for the couch. He sat down with a huff and watched Pastel bustle around the house, doing a million things at once. He would've offered to help, but he had learned the hard way that Pastel needed to keep busy at all times.
He recalled the time he had tried to convince Pastel to relax while he made them dinner for a change. They had gotten so antsy, Simon genuinely worried that they might explode.
He still helped around the house and made meals, but only in the morning and early afternoon, when Pastel was still sluggish. In the evenings, Pastel became a whirlwind of activity, and it was Simon's turn to relax. Whoever wasn't doing anything would often sit on the couch, providing company for the other. It was a nice rhythm, and Simon had come to rely on it. "Y'know...I could probably help you with that." Pastel suddenly said, interrupting his thoughts. They were gesturing at his snout, which hadn't stopped twitching since he had gone back inside.
The ticklish feeling had faded enough so that he wasn't sneezing anymore, but it was still present. A faint, fluttering inside his sinuses that caused the sensitive membranes to remain a stubborn shade of dusty pink. Obviously, it had been noticeable.
Simon hesitated, considering the implications of 'help.' The desire for relief won him over though, and if anyone could help him with this particular problem, it was Pastel. He sighed, "Oh, what the hell. Go ahead." Pastel let out a little delighted gasp and immediately bounded over, sitting next to Simon on the couch. They paused for a moment, looking to Simon for confirmation. When he nodded, they trilled in excitement, reaching out and cupping his snout in their fingers.
Simon snorted as the sensation sent tingles across the sensitive membrane, and he crinkled his nose instinctively. Pastel stroked the bridge, earning a quivering twitch from his antennae. His snout immediately turned a shade darker. "hn....th-that tickles...." Simon huffed, squirming as Pastel's feather light touch continued to tease him. Pastel glanced down at him, "That sensitive, huh?" They switched tactics, gently but firmly pinching Simon's snout in between two fingers. Immediately, Simon felt the tickle fade, and he sighed in relief. The flesh was soft and malleable, and Pastel made a small noise of delight at the discovery. "Squishy..." They murmured.
They pressed their knuckles against the underside of his snout experimentally. Simon's antennae perked upwards. Oh. That felt really good. The feeling of Pastel's fingers digging into that particular spot relieved a lot of the irritation all at once. Simon certainly wasn't able to do that himself. He immediately pushed his snout harder against Pastel's knuckles, the movement producing a squelching sound. Pastel giggled as Simon snuffled against their hand, rubbing his nose back and forth as he alleviated the itching. "That was bothering you, huh?"
Simon faltered, feeling a little embarrassed at the attention, but it was Pastel of all people. Yes, they were weird and annoying, but Simon trusted them. He could be vulnerable around them. He willed himself to relax, nodding. "Itchy right? want me to coax a few sneezes out?"
Simon immediately shot him an unimpressed look. "No, seriously!" Pastel insisted, "It might help. You probably still have pollen stuffed up your nose." Just the sheer mention of pollen made his breath hitch.
Or maybe it was because Pastel had began to absentmindedly thumbing the tip of his snout in light circles as he talked, and boy did that really tickle. "I...I ah...a-ahhUHh..." He huffed.
Pastel was, for once, completely oblivious to the effect they were having on Simon's nose as they continued. "I mean think about it, you inhaled a lot of those particles. A good sneeze or two would probably feel nice, don't you think? I know it'd definitely clear some of that congestion..." "P-Pastel you're gonna-ah...I-I'm gonna s-s...hh-snee...ehH--" his eyes screwed shut and his snout quivered. He took one last shaking inhale before a wet sneeze escaped him, thoroughly soaking Pastel's hands in a thick mess of spray. "H-hAhh...hhaAh-ahHHtsSSSHH'UuwW!!" "gGHssSSSHh'HUUwW!! ...ghuh..."
Pastel blinked, looking down at their drenched hands and shirt. Then at Simon, who was snuffling wetly and, admittedly, feeling a lot better.
They gave Simon something akin to a smug expression. "Well, I guess that proves my point." Simon rolled his eyes, "You're an idiot." "I'm your idiot." Pastel teased. Simon couldn't really argue with that.
