Pittsburgh meets folk motif meets a candy-colored rainbow fade. Designed to be stitched on black canvas for a high-contrast pop, the Rainbow
Long story short: in my small town full of really kind and inclusive people, there are still some real loud-mouthed bigots. I want it to be very clear that my studio doesn't tolerate that bullshit and is instead a safe haven for all the marginalized folks looking for community in craft.
So I designed a Rainbow Yinz. I come from the land of "Y'all Means All," and haven't heard a Pittsburghese equivalent yet, so I made do. (And incorporated a little floral folk motif for the Pennsylvania Dutch of it all.) The framed original will be coming with me to all future vendor shows until we have a physical studio space. And then I'm gonna hang it from the front window.
