I don’t want to over react over this thing but this is seriously upsetting me. So let’s go on with the story of these 4 pics.

I got shocked since this nugu account - yes, nugu account. idc if this account has like 346k followers, this account is a nugu - placed a watermark on my video. Watermark is a sign that this pic/video is yours. So she’s downright stealing my work by placing this watermark on it. She doesnt even have credits.

I wanted a peaceful confrontation so i opted for dm-ing her and guess what, i got ignored. I kept on observing the time i sent these messages, to the time that she posts something. Safe to say she’s ignoring me. Not a single message has been seen.

some of you guys had commented on the post, calling her out of stealing (which btw, ily all so much ;;;;) and guess what, hours later she deleted all those call out posts to make the comment section clean. Of course i got pissed and started commenting on it myself (with some help of you guys, and a friend in real life)

some d*ckhead loyal follower had the audacity to protect the shitty owner of this nugu ig account.

video edits, picture edits, graphic edits, gif edits, all kinds of edits... we content creators... all we ask of you is to credit us in the stuffs that we do... I honestly feel so shitty and just plain :(( right now.

This is a poem I wrote, and a video I made of the poem, back in 2012, using a headset microphone and Windows Movie Maker.

I gave up buying headset microphones, because they always ended up getting tangled in the wheels of my chair and broken.  And then Windows discontinued Movie Maker. ... So I haven’t made any videos since 2015.

But the last couple of days I’ve been itching to make this kind of video again: just my voice over a “Slide show” of images and moving titles -- especially for the poems in my.chapbook:

The Monsters’ Rhapsody: Disability, Culture, & Identity.

(I don’t have the space or ability to set up a camera)

But, truth be told: I’m kinda scared of YouTube’s algorithm, now. I don’t want them to stick ads on my work -- even for people who can’t afford to pay for YouTube’s “Premium” service.

And I don’t know what movie editing software is out there that will be as simple and no frills as Movie Maker was back when I made this.

So -- Any ideas?

"The Monster Challenges" is a suite of poems loosely based on the Shakespearean Sonnet, except that I've added a six line "overture."  Poems 1, 3, and 4 use the traditional Shakespearean rhyme scheme; poems 2, 5, and 6 are blank verse (unrhymed). In March, a friend of mine who knows my interest in monsters and folklore pointed me to a Master's Thesis that she found online: "When a Knight Meets a Dragon Maiden: Human identity and the Monstrous Animal Other," by L. Since I have Cerebral Palsy (an umbrella term for neurological conditions that effect the way a person moves), another of my interests is exploring the way Society defines Disability, and how it treats people classified as Disabled.  As I was reading the opening chapters of "When a Knight ...," I was stuck by the similarity between the role of monsters in Medieval Chivalric literature, and the roles given to disabled characters in modern literature and television. And thus, I was inspired to write these poems.

Here is the original text of the poem:

The day is warm, the playful breeze is light; The sun (just like a lover at the gate) Has called the flowers out -- and you, as well -- So even mundane tasks are pleasant things. And then, you see the shadow in the crowd: A monster in the corner of your eye.

An insult made of flesh and bone -- obscene! Far worse than any word or gesture, this: Audacity in daring to exist: Denying everything you've learned is true. And you are Good.  You've learned what elders taught. About what makes a Man, and makes a Beast, And how to tell an Adult from a Child, And how to keep your own place  in the world. The monster in the crowd is gone, although The shadow that it cast? It lingers, still -- It's lodged there, in the corner of your thoughts: A seed that's far too dangerous to sprout. But you are Good, accept this as a Test, Enclose what's Wrong in pity, and move on.
