And then I went on my Birthday trip. Intended to go to Phi Phi but God had other plans. We had boarded the plane (which was surprisingly on time) and they had shut the doors but after 30 minutes of waiting, the captain announced that there were passengers who had decided not to board the plane and they were in the midst of locating their luggages before we could leave. That took 1.5 hours and so i missed my ferry and burnt my hotel stay there. Didn’t know where to go when i suddenly remembered a promise i made 2 years ago when i was in Phuket. There was this church on Patong beach that i had chanced upon and i was so amazed at how they could survive in the sleaziest part of Phuket that i told myself i would come back and attend their service one day. God demanded i pay in cash. And so i stayed there, made some good friends, and went to church as promised. I don’t even know how to explain what i experienced that day. All i could say is that i was amazed at how little a person needed in order to have faith. No questions asked. #simplefaith (at Romyen Patong Church คริสตจักรร่มเย็นป่าตอง)
