Just did my financials with my sister in law...
She kept saying we are doing well. It makes me happy when my team talks like that. I love that they know it's we. I told her more bout end goal and we were strategizing about it. I can't wait till I make enough to pay my whole team well. 💖
So it's 12am and I am swimming in the feels....
1. I didn’t finish all the work I intended to. I feel like I never get enough done in a day. Like I seriously need to work faster or harder at this shit.
2. I’m upset cuz I fucked up dinner and had to throw it out and buy dinner with money I ain’t got.
3. I feel like I need to make better decisions with my money and in life as a whole.
4. I’m upset that this place ain’t clean and I gotta clean it all cuz I have clients coming this weekend.
5. I wants cuddles and to drape my leg over someone’s body as I get work done. Ugh! I’m low key affection frustrated. I cold get affection if I asked for it but I’m being all particular and shit. I reminisce on the old T regularly. Those who been following from time member the T that didn’t give a fuck. That was before my ex. I got soft now.
6. I’m so tired of seeing my mother struggle. It makes me sad to hear her talk about how exhausted she is.
7. My dad is such a waste yute it’s not funny. Like I hate that he thinks he could be abusive and then be owed love. I know he had a horrible child hood and has a lot of trauma but so did I cuz of him. Why is it an excuse for him….. I’m sorry white supremacy sucks and we all living in poverty but I can’t carry everyone’s pain. I’m exhausted.
8. I feel sad for my brother.
9. I’m sad that I gotta vent to tumblr because I’m hurting right now and don’t know where to put it. I don’t wanna unload on anyone but I feel I feel kind of alone, sad and angry.
10. I miss my sister.
Im working on a novel about a Black femme....
I dont write as often as I use to but I really wanna finish it at some point. I grew up readying a lot of books like Fly Girl, Coldest Winter Ever, Makes me Wanna Holla, Boss Lady, True to the Game, no disrespect and ect...
I loved reading books about Black folks growing up in the hood and their coming of age stories. it always resonated with me as a black lil girl growing up in poverty.
But very few of these books reflected key pieces like immigrant stories, mental health and sexuality. I recall reading this one book i cant remember the name and I was about 16 at the time. The main character moved to San Fran and was finally able to openly express her sexuality and connect with women. At that moment i began to believe the only way i could meaningfully date women was if I moved to the states lol.
Writing this book is important to me because I want to incorporate so many of the stories I have heard from Black Femmes over the past few years and our realities. I also want to write a book accessible to young people in the hood wanting to hear their stories. I wish would of saw more of my experiences reflected back to me group up.
I am hoping to complete this book, have it edited and published within the next 5 years.
I just wanna be your favourite.....
No matter what happens I needed to experience this.
March 17 2015 I was so happy I had to cry. March 17, 2012 I was so sad I did cry.
I lost my grandmother in 2012 and I cried hard because I thought I had lost all her wisdom and love. I dedicate this business and all I do to my grandmother and sister who are consistently guiding my way.
Thank you.
