Can't you feel the waves?
Oooh, I have an idea for this one.
@simplykitsch this is for you (I see you there liking my stuff)“Papa,” the small dark haired girl called to her father who was sitting under a large beach umbrella. He fanned himself with a small handheld paper fan while his attention shifted between his napping wife and his excited daughter, “can you come swimming?” her piercing blue eyes full of hope and excitement as the turquoise tide ebbed.
Her father sighed, everything burned. The sand, the air, that goddamn sun. He was not good with heat, his body often violently protested. However, he couldn’t disappoint his little girl. “One minute,” he called back to his daughter.
She watched as her father woke her mother and had a brief conversation, when her mother nodded the girl grinned. Her father walked down to the shore and took her hand.
The walked a few steps, just enough to feel the cool water.“Can't you feel the waves?,” the girl asked, completely mesmerized by the ocean.
