Some lovely people have been tagging me for a bunch of things and I just kinda... postponed doing them, which was a not-great thing to do. So now I’m doing them all in one post.

Eggs: Meringues!

Steak: Steaks aren’t really a thing here, so I haven’t had the chance to try this very often, aside from my husband’s cooking. That said, what I did have tasted best medium.

Milk: Love it! Plain or with cocoa, tea or in lattes, doesn’t matter. 

Alcohol: Wine! Dry or semi-dry white, preferably. I won’t say no to a nice Piña colada or a Cuba Libre either. I don’t drink super often though, like 3 times a month tops, and even then it’s like a glass or two.

Hot drink: Earl Grey! When I was in my teens, dad used to make me Earl Grey for breakfast every morning, so I associate the taste with pleasant memories.

2006-2007ish? - One of the oldest pictures I have of my game. I didn’t have the patience to make my own neighbourhood so I just played Pleasantview, despite not caring much about the premades or the story. Photoskinned clothes and Maxis eyes and skin, woo!

Also what sims I did make were veeeeery influenced by whatever was going on at GoS at the time.

2021 - Lately I haven’t been taking gameplay pictures much, just previews.

Traveling - one of the things I miss most. Hopefully we’ll see better days soon and traveling will become a thing again. I love seeing new places, trying new foods, going to museums...

Petting a dog or a cat - I am a dog person but cats are really growing on me lately. I can’t wait to actually have a pet again.

Nail polish - my collection is now at 300 bottles!

Long phone calls with my friends - we don’t speak often, but when we do, we definitely make up for lost time.

Still struggling with The Book of Disquiet (Livro do Desassossego) by Fernando Pessoa. I love the writing style, but damn it’s a slow read. Or maybe it’s just me, I dunno :(

As if specially for this challenge I have saved an old album from the game xDD It was made in 2015 о.о Mostly in this album there were photos of families created by me, but there were also some photos with families created by Maxis) I decided to take Lilith Pleasant, since I already have posts with her о3о

On the old photo (September 23, 2015) Angela makes Lilith compliment)) I always preferred that they stop quarrels and sooner or later became friends.

On my recent photo (February 14, 2021), Lilith with Fricorith Tricou, who in my AU became her husband <33...

Sims Flashback Challenge

So I’ve been tagged in this a few times now (thanks to @katatty​, @elfpuddle​ and @phoebe-twiddle​), and while the oldest of my sims pictures are lost to the ether (which is what’s best for everyone as they were bad and I’ve been playing since I was 10) - I have dug out some oldies for you.

The first picture I put on tumblr. Wow.

First sim I ever shared on here, Raspberry McNair. Who I still have somewhere, but if I put her back up for download she needs a new set of pictures XD

And for new stuff:

I had a spare picture of Raquelle to compare to current style. Brighter colours, using fraps rather than the in-game camera, and a general sense of just slightly knowing what I’m doing (ish at least).

TBH, I had a LOT of screenshots in my old pc, and sadly, most of them, specially the ones from ts2, are long gone ;3; BUT I do have some old stuff I published when sims 4 came out, and oh boy, I was kinda mingling with alpha cc because of ts3 oof here it goes

The change? Reshade. My gosh, do i love reshade in my games.....

I found one old screenshot of one of my favorite sims in Roaring Heights, Juliet Tillman. Back then, my game was vanilla, no defaults and cc and lighting mods, so she looks a bit different here haha

This one was when she's still in her parents’ home (in her purple bedroom!) before moving in to her own home at The Cat’s Meow (the largest mansion in RH inspired by Jay Gatsby’s mansion in the book The Great Gatsby). I don’t actually remember when this was taken, probably around mid-2010s or shortly after that (2016/2017). She’s a young adult witch who’s a freelance interior designer and an It girl / socialite.

And the three photos above were taken from late last year while playing her household (I play all households in RH rotationally). She’s already an adult here, still lives at The Cat’s Meow, happily married to her second husband Joseph Tillman, and happily taking care of their two kids Sierra and Donald. Her eldest daughter, young adult Rosaline King, has already moved out and is living in downtown Roaring Heights.

I don’t save my photos after posting them and although I was able to find my previous simblr (circa 2016) on the way back machine none of the pictures were working. I did remember one other sims project I posted and was surprised to see that googling its name turned up a result, seems somebody reposted 2 chapters of it since I’m pretty sure I had wiped my account on the site I used and the one I found this on isn’t familiar to me.

Anyways the date on that site says this was posted August 04, 2015. I apologize for the terrible quality I cropped it off a slideshow. I was going through a Hetalia phase and decided to take some sims and pair them off until I got to one sim who had all the original sims as an ancestor as a type of weird reverse legacy situation. I think that’s Taiwan holding the smart bottle, her daughter Miku giving a thumbs up and Miku’s daughter Lara. I didn’t actually remember any of that it was on the slideshow.

And here’s a photo of Frances J. Worthington III from my most recent Uberhood play session 2 days ago on March 09, 2021.

Let’s go with two wedding pictures this time. The first is from a sim story I had in mind about Cat and Betty from Riverblossom Hills. Note the same facial expression, the distance between sims, how the men are just awkwardly there, also the terrible editing! I have no idea when the pic is from, or how it survived two laptops and two hard drive transfers. I do know it’s pre Bacc (the 1st) so it’s probably from 2010-ish

The second is from the most recent wedding I’ve played. Obviously I owe much of the photo quality to more varied pose boxes, neighbourhood decorations and a superior graphics card, but I also really like how the sims are just looking at each other as if they really are in love <3
