rant:

In sims 4 I've been uploading cc-free, base game only, sim dumps for people who need a bunch of sims but don't want to buy a bunch of packs because fuck that. (Specifically they're "households" of 8 sims to use with MCCC Populate that I made for my own use.) Honestly, even after all these years with so many instances of patches with "free base game content" the selection is still so sparse, especially when you ignore the pieces that warp the frame (like around 5 different pants for tf-ef). They've made pieces from other packs base game but only certain swatches for some shitass reason, too. There's been so many base game "drops" that people feel so grateful and excited about, but it's all really sad once you step back and look at how little it actually is.

Anyway, I'm glad that children and infants have a different wardrobe at least. I'm tired of looking at the same stuff and being disappointed; I'm ready to look at new stuff and be disappointed. I don't have a lot of followers on this account so I doubt anyone is too interested in the sims I made, but if you are and you play online, my id is enidtheghost.

I don’t have the sims 4 for rent because it apparently corrupts your saves but as I sit here with yet another corrupted save, I have to assume it can’t get worse.

things idk why sims 4 doesn’t already have since it’s nearly 10 years old which is more than twice the age sims 3 and sims 2 were when their last EP was released (an incomplete list):

sims playing instruments and singing together on purpose, specifically forming bands and jamming in public and having sims join (honestly one of my favorite things in sims 3) - and along with this one, a drum kit and bass guitar

more activities under likes/dislikes, i want some stuff like likes/dislikes cleaning,  parties, formal events, supernatural stuff, water (swimming/diving), and more activities that are included in packs like likes/dislikes eco-friendly stuff, ghost hunting, farming, city festivals (from City Living), celebrating holidays (from Seasons), going on vacation (Outdoor Living, Jungle Adventure, Snowy Escape)

again for the likes/dislikes section, i’d like to see more in “sim preferences” than just personality traits. i would like to see things like skilled, fame, unemployed, self-employed, high ranking in their career, lots of friends, supernatural/occult types

another urban world like San Myshuno where the areas feel like there’s plenty of stuff going on and the world is able to be interacted with, where sims actually gather together and do activities autonomously (play basketball, busk, sell/buy art, shop at the food stands and chat with each other while eating) in the world around the lot, unlike Del Sol Valley and San Sequoia where the worlds seem like they’re for display only and sims only interact in the lot

Know what I hate about tumblr as opposed to livejournal? On LJ, if you want to tell someone you like their post or whatever, you have to comment. It's a better environment for interaction. Here on tumblr I sometimes feel like if you're not super popular or famous no one will interact with you. Getting likes on a photo is not interaction. Having a conversation like "Hey, this is a really cool picture, I didn't know about that interaction!" "Oh yea! It's really cute/fun/cool/whatever it came with [insert EP here]" "Oh! I love that EP, I still haven't fully explored it!" "OH LOOK WE HAD A CONVERSATION AND NOW WE KNOW EACH OTHER SOMEWHAT LOOK AT THAT IT'S FUCKING MAGIC!" 

Here, if you don't have 200+ followers or whatever ridiculous number, no one wants to talk to you. Thing is, I don't want a bajillion followers. I legit don't. I just want to interact with the community and get to know some cool simmers.
