Welcome to Sims Galeria: My Sims 2 Department Store Project!

It's finally time! Today I’m thrilled to present a very special area of ​​my current department store project: The Wellness & Lifestyle boutique.

This project has been a true labor of love. My goal was to bring the calming and luxurious atmosphere of a high-end wellness brand directly into my Sims 2 game. Every detail—from the custom-built furniture to the decor and the smallest product jars—is inspired by real-world retail designs.

The store furniture was created specifically for this project by @jacky93sims. Many of the furniture pieces in this shop are based on the Billionheir shelves from @cityof2morrow which were modified. The store interior was designed to replicate the original retail environment as accurately as possible. It features a modular and highly flexible shelving system that stands out through its varying shelf heights and material combinations. This flexibility allows for both large-scale product displays and delicate niches for exclusive collections, seamlessly integrating into the overall shop-in-shop concept.

Almost all goods and products shown are my own recolors. The original meshes used for these items are from aroundthesims2. Some items, like the candles, scent sticks and the Buddha are Sims 4 to Sims 2 conversions.

Welcome to Sims Galeria: My Sims 2 Department Store Project!

After one year of work, I’m finally ready to start sharing my biggest The Sims 2 project so far.

Over the past months, I have recreated large parts of a German department store inspired by Galeria Kaufhof – built almost in true-to-scale proportions. I focused not only on the sales floors, but also on realistic details that are often unseen: stockrooms, goods receiving areas, workshops, staff corridors and technical backrooms – just like in a real department store.

The entire building is fully furnished and structurally complete – from checkout areas to shelving systems and service rooms – but (for now) still without merchandise.

My goal was to capture the atmosphere, structure and functionality of an actual inner-city Warenhaus, not just the look. Many dimensions and layouts are closely based on the original building, and I paid special attention to signage, checkout areas, seasonal displays and architectural elements.

A very special thank you goes to @jacky93sims, who created so many custom content furniture pieces, signs and decorative objects for this project. Without this incredible CC work, the level of realism would not have been possible.

This project is still evolving, and I’m excited to slowly share different sections, floors and behind-the-scenes areas here.

Welcome to Sims Galeria: My Sims 2 Department Store Project!

Today I would like to present my project in more detail from outside!

It is modeled after a real department store that was built in the 1950s and was extensively expanded and renovated in the 1990s.

In the pictures, you can see the big size of the project. The department store is built on a 120x120 lot. It is an extra-large lot (the Base Game limit is 60x60) made possible by the Lazy Duchess Huge Lots. In addition, custom walls from the Custom Walls Repository from Mod The Sims were used, since the default wall limit has been exceeded.

You can clearly see the detailed brick facade, the modern glass elements, the different entrances and the driveway to the loading area and the parking garage.

Decided to enlighten my simblr by doing a delicate baroque manor; Herlot Manor.  I love it, I just don’t know what to do with it! My friend suggested that I put it up for download, but I wish I would’ve thought about that before I started furnishing! I think I’ll package it, then move a sim in and out to empty it, repackage it empty, and put it up. (Plus saving me the horrors of CC crediting) UPDATE: Here is the unfurnished lot!
