š Sneak Peek: SimTracker 2.0 š
Hey everyone! Iāve been working on something a bit nerdy but super handy for Sims 2 fans: SimTracker 2.0. Itās a personal project I built using MS Accessāso yes, itās made by a non-developer, but it actually works surprisingly well! š
Hereās what Iāve got so far (these are all the screens currently available):
š„ Welcome Screen & Main Menu ā Friendly and easy to navigate.
š Data & Lists ā Keep track of your lots, households, Sims, pets, relationships, and more.
š Reports & Letters ā Quickly generate overviews, letters, or reports about your Sims and neighborhoods.
š SimTracker 2.0 Overview ā See your whole hood at a glance.
ā¹ļø Info & About ā Learn whatās what and get all the credits.
š¬ Feedback ā Share thoughts, ideas, or report any quirks.
Note: For the main features, Iāve outlined ten items per section to-doāso thereās plenty more functionality coming.
Limitations:
Since this is built in MS Access, itās not a full-fledged appāthink of it more like a detailed spreadsheet with some extra bells and whistles.
Only tracks what you input manually (no live game integration).
Some features might feel a little clunkyāhey, Iām not a professional dev!
Future plans:
Iām exploring import/export possibilities to make life easier: think SimPE ā Excel ā Access, or even SimPE ā Access directly. This could let you pull your Simsā data straight into SimTracker instead of typing everything manually.
Iād love your thoughts:
ā¤ļø Like if this sparks your interest
š¬ Comment with suggestions, feedback, or features youād want
šāāļø Volunteer as a tester if you want early access and donāt mind a few bugs
Iāll be sharing screenshots of every section soon, so stay tuned if you want a peek behind the curtain. This is just a hobby project, but it could make managing your Sims 2 worlds a lot more organized.
