"This procedure is entirely safe, and you will be in the hands of the best surgeon I could find."

"Yes, Mr. Spock. I know that."

"Then there is nothing to be afraid of."

"Maybe not, but-"

"Jim... I have always known you to be brave. This procedure... You've expressed how much this means to you. How much you've wanted this. That is already an act of courage, in my book."

"Thank you, Mr. Spock. I think I'm ready..."

"Good. I will start up the Ford Fusion and we'll be on our way to Bluewater Baths and Salon for the procedure."

Some time later...

"You can do this, Jim!"

"Of course, Mr. Spock. I'm ready to have my...erm. breasts removed. Safely."

Doctor's thoughts: gee, I'm glad I went through rigorous medical training and I'm the best doctor possible to perform this surgery!

"Okay, Mr. Kirk. Just relax and let the anesthesia do its job. Got it?"

Time to head home...
