So I thought id share how I do my mods folder. First of it wont work for everyone. It suits me. Some people may look at it and go there is a simpler way or it works better like this. Cool go for it but this is how my mind works.
So I break it down into folders creator(cc), build, mods, traits, scripts.
Except for scripts and things that cant be merged, I then have the creators name so:
mods folder-creator (cc)- Example: Aretha.
I then have folders for categories.
Example: Aretha- collections, hairs ect
This will vary depending on the type of cc the creator does, some will have more folders and some less.
I then merge the items in that folder then label it Example: Aretha tops merged
If the creator does a lot of collections like Harrie (basics), Aretha (Rebel) ect then I like to merge or have them already merged by creator into one folder.
So for Harrie collections:
That way if something needs to be repaired/updated I know right that top by Aretha needs updating. Its here.
Side note: If I really need to see what item is in that merged package i use sims4 studio to have a look. Plus I have a typed list of every merged item and folder as backup.
