To turn on build mode, which gives you unlimited money to edit your town, press L1, L2, R1, and R2 all at once while having the side menu open on the town you want to edit. (this only works for the ps3)

If you wish to download any of my builds. It is also best to pop on the cheat bb.moveobjects on. This will ensure that all items I have added extra items to, you will be able to see and interact with them.
Do this cheat before you place the house into the lot.
You can do this by pressing SHIFT +CTRL + C
then type “bb.moveobjects on”
Press return.
All done.
I normally always turn off the cheat and test the build with a sim, but every now and again I may forget. :)

ex.
stats.set_skill_level major_homestylecooking works but major_media or major_mediaproduction doesn't??
