My Hauzz Story

Everyone has a Deborah Hauzz story. Here's mine:

Tumblr likes to limit how you blog, so I made the whole post on my actual blog.

But if you don't want to click and read through, here's the cliff notes:

Basically, just like the others, Deborah Hauzz is a real piece of work. I'm gonna leave the screenshots here in case you needed an example of what reverse victim blaming looks like:

Hauzz is very manipulative. I can feel the manipulation from all the way over here! (sidenote: the victim in question was allegedly 15. and that makes this 10x worse because Hauzz is pushing well past 30!)

Just like cowbuild and Bergdorf, she can't leave credit.

Since we're already talking about problematic people in the community, mind as well air out all the dirty laundry! If you have a #HauzzStory to share, Feel free! She's actually a coward and won't really do anything(from my personal experience I've been talking all this shit since Sepetember and she hasn't @ me once! I just assume she don't want these problems).

And if she does has something to say, tell that bitch to run my way!

Part Three: The Tea is hot!

Before we go any further, I have to tell you about this website called CGTrader. It’s a website where you can buy 3D graphics for your own use. This includes graphics for Blender. I’ve never heard of it until I started looking into this whole Hauzz thing

Now, this next one is what really got me. It’s just so blatant! 

It’s like they didn’t even try!

As I said before, there is a website called CGTrader and that’s where Hauzz decided to take their business from now on.

They really went from taking from tumblr to taking from CGTrader

They straight up copy/pasted that blender room!

But that’s not the worst of it! Oh no, it gets worse!

This was the part that pissed me off! You can see for yourself why this is a problem

Mind you, you can still find the room on CGT for $5.....

And Hauzz still has theirs for $25.....

I don’t know about you, but I could get a couple of blender rooms and some tacos with $20 #I’mJustSayin

Hauzz must not understand the concept of Royalty Free. Royalty Free means that you can use the content without getting copyright striked. However, it does not mean that you do whatever you want. Like put it behind a $25 paywall. 

That violates so many Terms and Conditions!

but given your history, I’m guessing you’re an individual that doesn’t like to read those right?

And a month later, back at it again with the thievery!

At the time of the screenshot, the room was on sale for $3.50. I think it’s safe to assume Hauzz purchased it for that much. (As of September ‘21, the room is available for $7) 

Hauzz does a half ass job of giving credit where credit is due. It’s like pulling teeth for them. The internet clocked them again and the best they could do give a little mention on their instagram. There’s no mention of the original creator on Patreon as far that’s as I can tell. 

If there was any mention of anybody, We would’ve seen it. Or at least seen the first few words.....

That’s all the receipts I have (for now) that include the serial thief that is Deborah Hauzz. 

Debbie, if you’re reading this listen, I’m not here to come for your neck. I’m just here to show the sims community your indiscretions. 

You don’t like it, then how about you stop taking credit for content that isn’t yours. Why don’t you start leaving links to the CC you use?

Deborah Hauzz: A History

Today we’ll be talking about Ms. Deborah Hauzz.

Aka Hauzz Archtiecture, Aka Houzz Architecture, Aka Simshouzz

She’s a “Content Creator” that’s made quite a name for herself in the last few months. Love her or hate her, she’s here and she aint going anywhere!

I’m just here to document her story so far

Before we get into the tea. here’s a little background on our girl. From what I can gather, Hauzz stepped on the scene in January of 2017. It’s the earliest date I could find via twitter. As far as I can tell, Hauzz has always been about builds. Even in 2017 they were posting builds that they put together on their website, TheSimsCake. The website and Facebook page is no longer active. 

The only builds from Hauzz you’ll find now are the ones on their Patreon, and that only goes back to February of this year 👀

*Notice how there’s no more in game lots on their Patreon.(but there used to be!) You can still find old images of their lots on their twitter page

They took all of their in-game content down from Patreon and I think I know why!

It started in January of 2021. A tumblr account by the name of @hel-studio​ published this cute beach set:

I guess Hauzz thought it was cute too because they went and used Hel-Studios’ content without asking permission or leaving link

I don’t have the Patreon receipt, but you can always find receipts on the internet!

That same month, Hauzz was under fire again for the same thing. 

Different creator, same problem

I believe it was at this point that Hauzz decided to scrap all of their in game content and just stick to making Blender content. That’s why when you view their Patreon, it only goes back to February of this year.

Switching to Blender is fine. Do you boo.

But you brought that same energy to Blender though and it’s not a good look!

Part Two 

Things were quiet up until March. I won’t get too into it, but Hauzz was on blast over some simstagram nonsense. Don’t quote me on this, but I think it had something to do with someone copying someone (which is no surprise there). 

I honestly don’t know. Though it should be noted because a short time after that, they got clocked again for taking a creators content!

This time they took CC from tumblr user @winner-9​. It was pretty obvious they stole. Link to the original bed can still be found here

Remember Hel-Studio from January? They had something to say about the situation 

They have since then changed the bed, lamps, and end tables and put it up under a $25 paywall 🙄
