I’ve been rereading Cora’s old books and tbh she’s not as good as she used to be her newest book about Maximus and Sara felt so rushed the writing barely descriptive it felt like she was listing what was happening instead of describing it so I went back to bound by honour her first book I think and the writing was way better has anyone else noticed that?

I really liked how this story wasn’t rushed! These two needed time to overcome their circumstances, and they were given it. They also kept their emotions on a pretty even-keel, so to get things out in the open to discuss, took time, patience, and understanding. There was never any doubt they’d get there, they had a keen awareness of the other from the start. This may not be a wild, burning passion, love story, but it is a beautiful unfolding of a couple overcoming their trauma and falling in love <3
