The mayael you did for me was majestic as heck, any way I could ask for a Sin Prodder? I need my devil boy to be even cuter. You are doing Bolas proud. (Stay safe!)
You don’t need to prod me to be safe
Someone ask him how often he gets his beard sharpened.
3-0. Beat @arnon120 and his Liliana at the finals.
Started out as very black, and added some red because it was open, and vampires.
I actually p1p1’d a Midnight Scavengers, because the guy to my right opened a Graf Rats, and that’s no p1p1 no matter how bad your booster is.
Sin Prodder was great as usual, and Stromkirk Condemned was surprisingly good.
I control a sin prodder, at my upkeep I reveal a wurmcoil engine, my opponent chooses to take 6 from sin prodder. I then cast my rakdos lord of riots. Can I cast, say, a steel helkite for free? Also can you state where in the specific rules it says?
Your creature spells will cost 6 less to cast this turn, so you can cast Steel Hellkite or another Wurmcoil Engine for free.
Rakdos knows how much life your opponents have lost this turn, including the life that was lost before he entered the battlefield. This isn’t explicitly spelled out in the rules anywhere, but rather it’s just a straightforward reading of his ability.
If Rakdos only cared about life your opponents lost while he was on the battlefield, he’d have a very different ability, probably something like “Whenever an opponent loses life, creature spells you cast this turn cost X less to cast where is the amount of life that opponent lost.”
With Sin Prodder, after I reveal the top card, if my opponent lets me put it in my hand, do I then draw another card? Or does that revealed card count as my draw?
Yes. You still draw a card normally when your draw step begins, which comes after Sin Prodder’s ability resolves.
My deck from the first SOI prerelease! Went 4-1, losing only the first match, to Startled Awake (that card is nuts!). Finished 8th out of 71 participants. Gitrog was crazy, and Sin Prodder was amazing and definitely worth the splash. Moldgraf Scavenger and Mindwrack Demon were somewhat disappointing though. Tonight - another prerelease!
