How do you feel about the speculation going around tumblr now that Dean gets cured in 10.3?
I guess the best word to use here would be "indifferent"? The demonic state of Dean's soul is narratively presented as simply "new life as death". It is not a metaphor for codependency like the Mark of Cain and First Blade are. Regardless of whether or not Dean is a demon, he's still going to bear the Mark of Cain for quite some time according to Jeremy Carver. While it remains, he remains attached to the "A" plot and the codependency/parentification "B" plot with Sam. I don't think Dean will be "cured" in 10x03 per se, but I do think the cracks of humanity will start to show by that point. He might get a "bandaid fix" from Sam (like Dean did to him in 9x01 that resulted in a codependency mirror) that will also signify the "B" plot (because I think it is apparent that Sam's side of their issues is about to be "tackled" next), I'm just not sure what they'll run with on that one.
