okay okay but. thoughts and opinions on saw VI?

FUN. first and foremost its a fun movie. to ME. i think it lacks a little bit of like…..substance. in terms of theme. but lets be honest nothing past the og trilogy has that Perfect Level. so i think vi is an absolute blast basically, it has so many funny ass lines (piranha. oh hell no. aw jeez. are you timing something? oh i was before i got here. etc etc) and the traps are pretty fun. roderick heffley melts a guy.

but i would be Extremely remiss if i did not complain about the misogyny once again. hoffman’s station massacre fucking blows. i hate that they brought perez back just to have her get stabbed over and over and over until she died. i cant remember the audio expert’s name but her as well. hoffman just cant carry a movie to me, sorry, which makes me extremely glad for thee flashback ever actually showing the apprentice dynamic, yippee for amanda hating mark hoffman too <3

also, i think the “its not my test!” twist is dumb. yes it is. but i digress. the ending is sexy as fuck i mean jill tuck is a milf and also i love to see hoffman get his ass handed to him for two movies in a row, even if he managed his way out. if he got his head exploded it would be a solid 5/5 movie but as it is i appreciate the gore and the drama of his escape. overall its fun and i do watch iv somewhat often when im in the mood for a rewatch because i think its a good time even if its not great objectively

You probably like, are very open about the fact that youre unsure of your capabilities, but you do stuff anyway. you’re more like, proving that you Can be competent rather than you Are competent. Idk if you read my derse knight analysis but this is the comparison. The derse knight pushes themselves past their limits in order to juke others into thinking They’ve Got It Handled, but a prospit knight would absolutely not fool anyone lmao.

- knight is the active counterpart to pages. knights exploit their aspect primarily for their own benefit.

LIFE:

- Life is hard to grasp for me too lol. Let’s look at canon Life players (Jane, Feferi, Meenah). I’m already seeing a similarity which is: concerned over whats best and makes everyone happy. Life is also about influence.

- Life players are also healers obviously :b

Okay, what I’m thinking is.

A Knight of Life would exploit their own influence/happiness for their own benefit.

Happiness might not be the right word. Comfort, maybe?

Oh man. Okay. A prospit knight of life would like... be so fucking impulsive I think. oh man you might be SO clumsy like an issue will come up and youll be like I GOT IT and you DONT LOL

Maybe you dont really think about the logistics of stuff. like, youre definitely not very confident but you feel like you Should Be so you Do Stuff On The Basis Of That Alone. 

Let’s look at the inverse for a bit. Your inverse is Rogue of Doom.

Right, so. A Rogue of Doom would steal negativity-based influence and give it to others. A rogue of doom might like, spread doubt or the stone-cold facts about a situation so that everyone knows what theyre getting into. this is interesting cuz its like literally the opposite of what i just said abt knight of life and inverses are USUALLY similar. Right okay what I’m seeing is, you as a Knight of Life kinda disregard your confidence issues as like. not mattering that much. If you were to like actually treat your low confidence as a sign that things wont work, thats where I’d see your inverse. I’d say rogue of doom is just a bit more careful rather than impulsive.

Like I said in the other post, a knight knows their tools very well, and a rogue makes sure everyone has access to those tools. (I JUST REALIZED KNIGHT OF LIFE CONTRADICTS ITSELF SO HARD ITS COOL) (knights are underconfident but life is optimism)

So basically. You’re not very confident, but youre okay with that. You don’t need to be. All you need to do is be able to see an opportunity and seize it to get the best outcomes possible
