mona had been taking a late night study break at the local coffee shop, a favorite past time of hers was always listening to the white noise of the coffee shop. it was always her favorite white noise and would often find herself listening to it when she was studying. as she drank her hot chocolate she noticed a familiar person and couldn’t help but not say hi to the other, “hey ! what are you doing here ?”
The bottle in her hand was running empty, Eva sat crouched down half hidden between a wall and an arm chair and each time the male would walk by calling out her name she’d take a drink. She was on the verge of dozing off, cramped up from waiting, when she saw the familiar face. “Oh thank god─I need rescued. There’s a guy on the other side of the room, tall, blonde, looks like a rejected one direction member. If he finds me you’re going to see my face plastered on milk cartons. Set me free.”
Of all the times, of all the places, Beatrix wondered why this had to happen now. The brunette excused herself from the group that she had been engulfed by, trying her best to rush to the nearest bathroom. When she closed the door, her blue eyes met themselves in the rusty old mirror. Her head felt as if it was in a vice. The music seemed to be the force that kept her heart pumping. Her body felt as if every limb was in that sate of asleep where you may have awareness but you couldn’t move a muscle. A hue of red flashed before her eyes. She looked herself dead on in the mirror, noticing a line of blood trickling down her nose. “Fuck.” she hissed, running the water from the grimy old sink. Her shaking hands grabbed for paper towel.
The loud echoing sound of a hard knock at the bathroom door caused her to jump slightly, banging her arm against the wall. “Someone’s in here. Fucking hold your horses!” the brunette yelled, her accent thick as she yelled. ‘Get it together’ she thought. The last thing she wanted to do was embarrass herself at this party. She was the representative of the outcasts for gods sake. Another sharp knock caused Bea’s head to pound. “Unless you’re going to piss this very moment, you can chill the fuck out!”
Parties usually meant early drinking for Max. He wasn’t the most ‘party’-centric person in his sober light, but as soon as the alcohol hit him, he couldn’t help but become the life of the party. His tall frame was draped in his usual leather jacket with his dark eyes hidden by even darker shades. Max had remember his brothers saying something along the lines of ‘you dress like a theatre kid.’ and he never knew what that meant, but his outfit tonight opened his eyes to the comment.
The boy stayed to himself for the first few moments of the party. His hand grasped a brown bottle, taking sips from it periodically. Suddenly, he felt someone bump into the back of him, sending beer down his shirt. “Nice going, Ace.” Max said to whoever had made that move. “First day with the new legs?”
joanna had been to every darty since she got there, and she was always the same at them, sticking to the wall with a drink in her hand, or smoking weed in a circle but never talking. she enjoyed parties, even if she never actually talked to anyone or participated in the idiotic party games, she enjoyed getting drunk and watching others. it gave her inspiration for writing or art, all the while making fun of them for what she considered to be beyond idiotic. it was the same here, she had a drink in a red solo cup and a cigarette in the other hand as she people watched. looking for a match to light up the cigarette she realized she had forgotten it, cursing herself before turning to the person closer to her. “you got a light?”
“Watched the parent trap this morning for the first time in like, ten years. It was as amazing as I remembered, plus, I discovered that their dad is actually a babe. I swear he wasn’t that hot when I was a kid. Do you remember him being that hot?”
