  âAnother!â
An Aesir man shouted for waitress woman, wanting more drink like he wasnât drunk at all. As much like him, other people from different realms but mostly Aesir ones were in the bar, drinking and chatting with each other. Everyone nearly looked as they didnât realize your presence. This was something you liked about your magical abilities; hiding your presence from eyes including Heimdallâs apparently. There was no such intention to make yourself invincible to his eyes but outcome of it was good, letting you visit the Asgard. Now, you were using this magic consciously, to get information about the place without making them realize an outsider, you, listening.
It wasnât an unknown fact that Aesir people protected each other like they protect All Father from any outsider, especially the one who is close to Odinâs enemies.
As you made your way to waitress women, working non-stop but not keeping themselves away from chatting, gossips already came to your ears about your arrival, âDid you here that another guest came to visit All Father?â A woman asked to another while pouring the alcohol to big cups. You found a chair next to them, sitting down with your cloak on, keeping your face away from eyes that will have enough power to realize your presence. You didnât want to put your stamina to hiding because you need to be careful. There wasnât any ensure that no one would attack you. You were enemy for some of them already, especially Valkyries.
âDo you know who was she?â Another woman asked, âShe looked so confident and they say even Heimdall couldnât see her arrival!â Her voice was filled with surprise.
âImpossible! They are just making gossips!â Like they werenât⌠âAll Fatherâs son sees and hears everything. So, shh! Donât make him come here.â
âDonât be afraid! I am sure he has more important things to do than listening us, sister. Also, I can hear things better than him! Listen what I found yesterday ââ
As they continued to speak about other things like how this or thatâs life changed, clearly gossiping, a man who didnât look like an Aesir stopped them, âLadies.â His voice was so clean. A childish tone was showing itself though. âWould you mind pouring your finest drink for me and this beautiful lady right here?â
To your surprise, the man was pointing his finger at you, making sisters turn to your side and feeling a bit odd. They probably thought how they didnât see you. Who was this stranger? You wondered how he saw you while every other seemed unconscious about your presence. He should have a certain level of power.
One of the sisters started to pour the drink into two cups. You looked at the stranger who was patiently waiting for her.
He had a black hair that looked a little messy but in a charming way. There were red colors in some strands of his hair. A line tattoo went over his one eye that came from head to ear. It wasnât like a scar but it was making his charming increase. The armor he had was black and red colored too; a simply black pants with a furry jacket with a tight grip on the top. He had arrows and a bow on his back and some bottles on his belt with different shining colors, possible elixirs. Even if he didnât have a huge body, it was clear that the man had a great power of strength.
He took cups gently, thanking the lady, and joined to your table, sitting on the chair right next to you. He left a good gap between your bodies to not disturb you. He was gentle and curious.
âCan I have the name of yours my lady?â He asked, giving you a cup with full of wine.
You had doubt to say it but you were curious about him too. âY/n.â You said finally. âAnd you?â
He smiled, charming enough to make to blink rapidly, âHrafn,â Raven. A name that fits perfectly. âBut you can call me whatever you like.â
You smirked playfully. He was fun. You could spend time with him. He would be the one who will give information about the realm and people on it.
âIf this is the case,â You put your forefinger to your chin, acting like you were thinking about it, âHow about go away?â
He chuckled, âWe both know you donât want me to go,â He showed others, âOr are you willing to spend time with them?â The direction he showed you was filled with man who had a white skin, purple eyes and a black line on their eyes. When you saw their eyes you thought how their eyes couldnât match with Heimdallâs. It wasnât the color or sparkle that made purple eyes looking magnificent. It was the fact that Heimdall have them and no other person had the aura of them like Heimdall did.
What were you thinking?! You asked to yourself. Why you were thinking about him? He was no longer here. He should be someone you want to forget, not the one you remember over and over again and feel good about it.
To clean your mind, you turned to Hrafn. âSo, will you tell me why you are here?â
He took a spin from his drink, âWhy wouldnât I? It is not common for an outsider Goddess to visit the Asgard, especially when there is a chaos at our door?â
You surprised. He had knowledge.
âI didnât see you before, did I?â You asked. Knowing your identity was nearly impossible. You really felt curious. How come he learned about you?
He smiled again, âNo, not at all. It would be unforgettable for me if we met.â He sounded honest. âI saw your arrival and wanted to meet. I know you from Midgard. The first time you entered the realm, I was there to see the falling.â
âOh,â You tried so hard to immerse old memories; first time you left Odinâs side, went to all realms and excluding from Vanaheim because of your relationship with Odin. Then, you fell to Midgard, like a sun fell from the sky, as they said. With your time being there, you learned to hide your identity in order to avoid another situation that happened Vanaheim. Then, when you met Freya who was like your sister now, and she helped Vanir Gods to know you, letting you enter the realm. âI see.â That was all you could tell.
He stayed silent for a moment. Then, his hand touched yours, âItâs okay.â He said with a calming voice tone. âEverything passed. The remaining pain will be calmed down with good memories you will make in your future.â
Listening him was making your pain go away a little bit. He understood your pain an you were glad his intentions to make you feel good.
âThank you.â You smiled, âYou are ââ
âSomeone who like put one's oar in.â
Heimdallâs voice cut your sentence. He was right behind you, so close to your back. His top armorâs edges were touching to your back from time to time while he continued his speech, âI didnât know your job was to drink Hrafn.â His voice was playful but stimulating at the same time. Using his superiority, he was trying to make Hrafn be sorry to be in here, with you.
âItâs my free time, Heimdall.â Hrafn said, âNothing seemed wiser than pending it with a wonderful woman like y/n.â He looked at you, a smile on his charming face. He was confident. I liked that, you thought. He sure wasnât an Aesir God. You wanted to learn about him more but Heimdallâs sudden movement which was to sit between the two of you, closer to your side, made you dizzy. His intentions were unclear, again.
âA drink!â
Another cup found its place on Heimdallâs hands, a foamy bear. He began to drink it effortlessly, not being affected by the alcohol.
âSo,â He turned to Hrafn, âWhat was your job again?â
How people of Aesir who see him all day and night endure Heimdall? Maybe, he was good to his people but not for you. That was the thing he should realize; every mortal and God meant same. They all had equal value for the realms, not one superior than other. Arrogant would be the death of him, eventually. You could see this but maybe â You thought, a dangerous idea but â maybe he could see the realms clearly. Real foresight. Not the one that shut by the love of Odin. He should learn the reality with feeling a honest love. He needed it. The question was that who would love him entirely and who he would love as much as he loved his father.
âItâs protecting the realm.â
âI see.â He smiled, âI believe you are doing your job very well?â The question sounded more like a statement to warm Hrafn to take his job seriously rather than staying here to chat with you. Heimdall clearly didnât want you to have friends in here. The reason behind this was unknown though. There could be so many reasons. The God was unpredictable.
Clearing his throat, Hrafn stand up, bowing to your side, âI need to go back but we will meet again.â
Heimdall chuckled sarcastically, âAre you intent to meet an outsider, worker? Do you know how she can mean danger to the realm you had to protect?â
âI ââ Hrafn tried to say but from what you saw, he was really having difficult time to repulse Heimdallâs provocations.
You smiled to him, âMy wish is the same Hrafn.â
Your help and words made him smile widely. The manâs wanting to spend time with you wasnât a secret anymore. It would be nice to have a chance to speak with him before leaving the Asgard, so, this was a promise too.
âI am glad.â With this, Hrafn left you two alone, vanishing from the bar that was half-empty now. Heimdallâs sudden arrival must make them leave for work.
As Hrafn left the table, Heimdall said âhuhâ under his breaths.
Returning to finish your drink, you kept your eyes on the wall in front of you, not wanting to look into his purple eyes. Those eyes were giving odd impulses to every part of your body.
After keeping silent for a certain time, Heimdall looked at you, not moving from your side for even a bit. He was so close and his skin burning gazes wasnât helping. You could felt these piercing gazes on your face and body. He had no shame. He was clearly peeking at you. Annoying.
Then, why arenât you stopping him? â Your inner side asked, mischievously.
âA good question.â Heimdall said, with a big smirk on his face.
You turned to him, lowering your head to left, âI can punch you right now. You know it, right?â
His smirk grew, âI would like to see you trying sunshine.â
You furrowed, ready to punch him but a delicate voice that you missed to hear came from outside.
âI think we make a good team with Thor, donât you think?! He was a bit angry at me but we found the piece.â
Atreus!
The boy you loved most was near to the bar, so, you rushed to outside, following his voiceâs remaining tracks. It was a magic you put on Atreus after losing him in a huge forest. Magic was allowing you to hear Atreus if you were on the same realm. His voice was coming from another home-like place on the right side of the near area. You literally run towards it, rushed to inside, and there he was. Staying in a room with an open door, reliving his little body to sight of you. Rushing inside, you shouted happily, âAtreus!â
The first time he saw you, the shock filled his cute face. Then, he smiled happily too. Opening his arms, he welcomed you, âY/n!â
As you hugged his back and his to your abdomen, you felt peace and happiness. Relief was the first feeling you had the most. Atreus was here, with you and he was safe.
You broke the hug, kneeling on one knee in front of him, you said, âYou gave me a heart attack young man!â
His guilt was reading from his face, making you sad but he should learn to behave well, not going from this realm to that. Atreus was important for you, he was the one who wanted to save you in the first place, with his father of course but the boy had a pure heart. He was someone deserve a great happiness, and a good life. That was something you wanted to give him, alongside with his father and friends of course.
âWhat were you thinking?â You asked.
He looked at the room, not ready to meet with your eyes, âI was trying to help father, us and others.â He turned to you finally, âAnd I am already helping! Look,â He showed a wooden mask, have a missing pieces, to you. âI found a piece, with Thor of course! Odin sent us to seek for its pieces. He trusts me, Y/n.â
Oh, little one, how pure you are to believe in Odin. â You thought. He was so innocent. Everyone could take advantage of his good intentions but you were here to make sure his safety, so, you could kick back every living thing who try to hurt him, even killing them was an option which you could take without questioning.
âWe will discuss about all these things, Atreus.â You caressed his hair, âBut at home.â
His happy face turned to sad one, âNo, Y/n,â He said, âI want to help them. If you are here to bring me back, then, you should go.â
He turned his back to you. It was so hard to get along with a teenager but you would try.
âHey,â You touched his shoulder, gently, âLook at me.â He turned to you, hope in his eyes. âI am here to accompany you for whatever you want to do but we need to go back. Your father is worried about you, Atreus, so do others. Do you want them to be sad?â
âNo, of course not!â
âWe will finish what you started here, finding other pieces. Then, we will return.â You hold his arms, âGot it?â
He nodded, âYeah, got it.â Both of you hugged again, finding good feelings from each othersâ presences. âBut promise me one thing,â He said, breaking the hug, âYou will not tell my father anything âtill we are back.â
You nodded, âOkay. Deal.â You smiled at him, âYou have a new sword, huh? Cool.â
âRight!?â He said happily, showing you moving sword, âIts name is Ingrid. Understands me.â He looked at it, âRight, Ingrid?â The sword made a move like a nodding.
As you both laughed, Heimdallâs voice cut your moment, again.
âOh, what a wonderful reunion!â He was relying to the doorâs surface, arms tied. âTwo outsiders at once! I probably should kick you but,â He looked at you, âAll Father wants to keep you longer. So behave and donât make me show my other side.â
You rolled your eyes, âIf you donât like us, why are you on our side all the time?â
He put his forefinger to his chin, âYou see, I donât trust you.â He pointed at you, âI am not here for the half-breed. I am here to watch you. Closely.â
You put your arm in front of Atreus, standing up, âAnd if you continue to call him that you no longer will have eyes to watch.â
Heimdallâs eyes traveled from head to toe of your body, studying your hidden power. The looking lasted longer enough to make your body burn in both annoyance and shy. His gazes â they were burning your skin. If this was something he had as ability, you didnât like it. You didnât like how he made you feel; weaker. No, your strength wasnât weakening; it was your heart and body. They began to feel shy and torrid.
âAnyway,â Heimdall said after a long silence, âAll Father wants to see the boy.â
Atreus looked at you, taking your approval; he left the room, going to meet with Odin. Not wanting him to be alone anymore, you moved to leave the room but as you came closer to Heimdall, straightening himself, he stopped right in front of you. He put his hands on the left and right side of the door, blocking your way out with all of his body.
âNo, no, sunshine.â He said, lowering down his head to came closer to your face, flushed with pink. âYou are with me.â
You didnât step back, instead, because of your stubbornness; you lifted your head higher, making your noses nearly touching each other. âYou're too close for someone who wants to get rid of me. Donât you think?â
He touched your cheek, giving you a shock wave, but in a good way, to your dislike. You didn't know where he got the strength to touch you because no one could even raise a hand towards you against your will. But him â Heimdall was touching you without asking for a permission and you didnât have a strength to push him back. Not this time. What the hell was going out with you? He was like an enemy, not an ally. You should beat him to death but a strong side of you felt good for his touching. Why?
As questions, remained unanswered, were moving on your head, Heimdall spoke, âI am not the one who enjoys otherâs company.â
Using his mind reading ability, he showed how he saw you entirely. The man who was caressing your cheek now was the only person who acknowledged both your heart and mind. It was dangerous. You had to go, leave the Asgard, to a realm in which Heimdallâs hearing ability could not reach. If he would keep reading it, he would see who you really are.
While a side of you wanted him to get know you better, your logical side made you take a step back.
âLeave me alone.â
He smirked but not that cocky one but real one. Like he was truly enjoying these moments.
âI can not. We have to visit a realm together.â He said, showing you the way to outside, âAll Father said the realm would give something you no longer have but sought for non-stop. Here,â He threw a paper to you. It had nothing on it. âIt will appear once we visit the realm, as All Father said,â He began to walk. âSo, follow me.â
âWhere we are going?â You asked while trying to understand Odinâs motive behind this and the item you sought for non-stop. Was it â
âTo Muspelheim.â
TO BE CONTINUED.
