you know, generally i can’t stand scorpios… well, neither can the rest of the world’s population but! i’ll make an exception for you just because you’re really pretty. and i’ve known you for ages. and you eat my food and sleep on my couch and if i didn’t let you do that you’d probably kick my ass. so of course i love you.

        it’d barely been three seconds since they sat down when he reached for little treasured tin in his bag. tugging it out, he popped open the lid, exhaling a breath of annoyance. his last one. shit. he didn’t get paid until monday, it was going to drive him insane without his breather. he couldn’t help but laugh at the oxymoron of the phrase. pressing the cigarette to his lips, he lifted the little green lighter, igniting the end. he knew it wasn’t going to last long, especially if he was sharing with quinn beside him, but it was worth it. he took a drag, a second, then a third before offering it out between two fingers, his head rolling back, the smoke escaping past his lips in a rushed cloud of grey. 

       “you know-- i really fucking hate the sun.” it was an unusual phrase to come out with, obscure and irrelevant but he felt like there needed to be a conversation. he was no good with initiation anyway. he lent back on his palms resting on the grass behind him, blinking up at the brightness exuding from the sky above. “i love going outside but i also like looking i just stepped out of a vampire movie. y’know?”
