The Sirens lived on an island in the Sea. They had enchanting voices and their singing lured sailors to their death. It was not known what they looked like, for no one who saw them ever returned.
Mythology, by Edith Hamilton
👫 Eilonwy and Rose, Pacifica and Rose, Jess and Susan
Eilonwy and Rose
Rose was secretly so thankful that Eilonwy found her researching the Knights. She hopes that one day the Knights can be her way out of the Clan, but she isn’t holding out.
Rose will text Eilonwy randomly in the middle of the night about anything and always get a timely response. She is confused about Eilonwy’s sleep/work/life balance.
Rose tried to go easy on her while sword fighting once. Just once. Because Eilonwy noticed and got mad at her. Not super mad, but she wasn’t happy about it. And Rose never put less than 100% into their spars after that.
Paz and Rose
Rose didn’t expect to like Pacifica. She didn’t seem like the type of person she’d get along with, but after the Spring Break roommate situation they bonded pretty fast. Rose likes that they both kinda mind their business... (for the most part). Unbothered Queens!
Paz has definitely asked to borrow some of Rose’s clothes just to throw them away because she doesn’t like them. “You can do better.”
Rose pretty quickly learned that Paz had family issues and knows to skirt around the topic. They both pick up on each other’s ‘things’ they don’t like to talk about and keep it pretty light. It might seem like a very surface level friendship, and sometimes it is, but there’s an unspoken mutual understanding that there are things they don’t mention.
Singing Sirens
Susan has known about Jess’s succubus side since the moment they met, but doesn’t want to say anything. She isn’t sure if Jess knows or doesn’t, or if it’s just dormant or doesn’t hurt people... Jess confuses her in that way. She is jealous that she can live her life without that side of her hurting people she cares for.
They like to go shopping for new outfits together. At least once a month they will go out to buy new work clothes, a few books from Chapter Three, and then stop by Al’s for comics for Jess.
Unlike Bonny, Isis hates most people and will hide when Jess is around. Susan tells her not to take it personally, because Isis is just a private little cat.
Singing Sirens (Albow Siren AU fanfic)
Summary: Alby finds a new friend at sea, but at what costs
Ship: Albow
Content Warnings: None, but later there will definitely be angst. Also my first fic so written quite poorly :)
Singing Sirens || Madison & Asa
It had been a long while since Madison had chosen to travel with Benjamin on his business endeavors. However, she had never been to Olia Medows, and Benjamin had invited her to the place. Madison didn't know much about this place, only knowing that it was largely farmland, and allegedly beautiful. She wasn't aware that it held a large manor, similar to that of Markham Manor, that was home to a society much like the one she had just been initiated into. She didn't know that behind those grand walls sat a queen of the same, if not higher, stature as the one to which she obeyed. Benjamin knew of this, of course, but chose not to tell Madison, knowing her curiousity would likely get the better of her anyway, whether he told her or not. And indeed, it had, as now madison was sitting in the carriage as Benjamin had instructed, as he walked into what looked like a small farmer's house. Madison was curious as to what business Ben had with the owner, but kept her tongue, noticing the stress Benjamin seemed to be under, though why he was suddenly stressed she wasn't sure. Perhaps it was the rising tensions in Athoria, but perhaps not.
Madison smiled as a light gust of wind fluttered her hair in her eyes, calling her to step out of the carriage. She pulled out a small piece of parchment, scrawling in her small, delicate handwriting a small note detailing that she had gone for a walk and would return shortly, and for him not to worry. Then, she stepped out into the night, smile still fast on her lips as she began to walk. With her quick pace, it didn't take long for her to reach the large manor, and stare up in awe. It was beautiful, almost even more so than Markham Manor -even before the volcano. Then, her eyes fell upon a gorgeous woman, dark haired and seductive looking. "Miss!" she called. "Do you happen to know what this place is? It's beautiful. "
