OK OK SO AITA FOR THIS WEIRD ASS SITUATION
Ok so basically, I'm part of a system and my sister isnt. I'm usually very guarded around her while others in the system aren't. Our host asked if it was ok if we stopped masking around her bc we trusted her, she said no she doesn't want us to do that bc then it's more likely we'll talk about quote "heavy" topics. I'm pissed at her for this. Most everyone else in the system says she has the right to say no, which I agree to but I feel like the way she said it was kind of dickish. Note: she is older than me by 2 years. She is a married adult and can definitely handle harder conversations she just chooses to avoid them. Especially when it comes to our mental health, despite the fact she has no problem venting to us.
Tldr: we tried to open up, she said no, I'm pissed.
