It doesn’t have as much colour as I thought it might, but the sharpness is there initially followed by the sweetness and that strawberry hint coming through in the aftertaste. #NowDrinking #PerrysCider Redstreak #SingleVariety #RealCider [6.0%] The Redstreak is a good quality bittersweet cider apple which is famous for its complexity and mellow tannins, and that’s pretty much what is delivered here by Perry’s Cider Mill. There’s the addition of stewed spiced apple and perhaps peach like flavours in my first mouthful. It’s a dark yellow, straw-like colour with a short-lived fizz, which suits me... I’m not a fan of carbonation. It’s said to ferment quickly and create a fruity sweet cider which I have to agree with.
