Last weekend I got this beautiful Arrowhead plant from my second mother in law, (having two pairs of parents in law can be very advantageous). Lets just say she’s got no green thumb having killed all the forty-so plants Danny’s grandmother left after her passing. Except for one; an Arrowhead plant hanging on to dear life when I first got at my father in laws’. I took care of it a little. So my mother in law got the idea to take one of the leafy pups and try and nurture it to maturity as a gift at our wedding day. Although it took a little longer than she thought it would take, she managed to – secretly - bring it to a fully sized plant and last weekend she finally gave it to me as a surprise gift. I could not have been happier. This was literally love in a pot.
It needed some fresh soil, so I re-planted it in a well-draining mixture. Syngonium podophyllum love bright, indirect light and thrive under the same conditions as their relative, the Philodendron.
