SINGTO & KRIST as TAM & PHI in THE EX-MORNING (2025)
i want my show up on a billboard like that. you want your show to be on a billboard? yeah. and i only want you to be the one who makes it happen.
When Krist said he would crowdfund himself a series with Singto if the company didn't give them one, this was one of the reasons he was so adamant in doing that. Like, imagine suggesting this out of the blue, just because???? And Singto just rolling with it????
alright i started the ex morning... bro they are so dear to me like this show makes me emotional i can't explain it. i really really hope it turns out to be a good quality story all the way bc so far i love it. i already like the exes getting back together trope so that's part of it but just them together specifically is too good... i watched sotus for the first time last year and it surprised me like i was obsessed. so i really shouldn't be surprised i like this show so much either. but still im blushing im laughing im getting butterflies and everything, same as sotus. bro this show better keep getting better, next ep already looks so good aha...
The way they kept restarting the cheesy "sexy scene" music every time Tam tried doing different things to flirt with Phi SENT me 💀
Literally thought that Singto was once again Krist's nong in this drama, but no. Krist's character is just named "Phi" 💀
Considering that it's Lit Phadung (OF DANGEROUS ROMANCE) directing The Ex-Morning, I feel validated in my slight quibbliness at the end of episode three. I co-sign heavily with @benkaben that Tam needs many chairs thrown at him. The resolution and emotions at the end of this episode, and the previews for the next episode, slightly dampened my hope that we will get a nice, deep, gnarly, guilt-trippy storyline that'll hold Tam fully accountable for abandoning Phi in their previous relationship.
But it's only episode three, so it's not like I don't have hope. Lit just checked that hope, damn it.
I otherwise loved this episode. That a bullying/hazing storyline is taking new and multiple directions vis à vis a KristSingto show is making this a lot of fun for me. I yelped a lot! They might need to GTFOH with the pink milk and iced coffee, but I'm a nostalgic auntie, I love that shit.
(I also like the Yong x Gie side-story -- of another past love gone awry. Two stories rooted in nostalgia, past lovers needing to come back together to work together? I hope this show makes both storylines work.)
The story is moving. The characters are developing. The nostalgia is dripping like a runny nose. Krist's acting in particular is impressing me. I really wish they'd switch to SingtoKrist because that's the fictional reality. I'm still eyes squinted and arms crossed and all sus-like 🧐🧐🧐 as I'm watching this show, but I'm defensively enjoying myself.
