I think they’d both initially get startled, but Lottie is 100% the one clawing her way up into his arms so he has to carry her out of there or accidentally covering his eyes and demanding they get out of there but he cannot see where he’s going and they just keep getting jump-scared.

LOTTIE. He hates getting dressed up in costumes, but does it for Lottie. They have an understanding that she’s not allowed to make him look ridiculous. So they tend to stick to costumes like Romeo and Juliet or other “classic” love story protagonists.

Lottie, of course. She makes it as comfortable as possible to convince him to join her, since he’d prefer a bed over a pillow fort.

Padraic probably does. Even though he is not one for candies and sweets, he’d probably walk by Lottie while she’s eating them and grab a little handful as he passes by.

It depends. They probably both would, as I feel like Lottie would dart ahead in her excitement and leave Ratigan trying to keep up, and the two of them end up circling around each other even though he keeps shouting at her not to move. They can only escape once they find each other by Padraic getting fed up and just plowing through the corn-stalks, being 100% done with it.

Padraic loves telling the spooky stories. Because he both enjoys when she gets all huffy and tells him to stop being like that, and how she ends up scooting closer to him the more scared she gets.
Who collects cool-looking leaves?
Lottie, who no doubt uses them in her decorating of the house or just to collect them in general. A majority of Padraic’s book collection ends up being used to press and dry the leaves, so he tends to open up books at the end of fall and have foliage just falling out of them while he sighs loudly.
