#FallforCostume Day 14: Underpinnings

I don't really have good pictures of the few corsets and underpinnings I've done for theatre, so I'm picking an admittedly odd choice for this one! I'm also using it as an excuse to throwback to another really old costume of mine: Sinon from SAO. I think I made her around 2014?

Anyway, her weird white bodysuit thing was my first at making something like a corset. It wasn't entirely successful, I didn't use real boning but rather cut strips of plastic I had on hand and made it from a single layer of twill. I do think going for structure as opposed to spandex was a good choice for me on this, but if I made something similar to it now it would have a lot more boning and structure to it to hold its shape so it doesn't collapse.

Sword art online alicization part 2 Chapter 6

I admit that I personally like sao, the first season I didn't like it for certain things, but then it started to get pretty good. So far, Alicization is being the best of Sao.

I hope it continues like this.
