Quick wip dump, trying to work on my character design chops more,, also thinking of renaming some characters from the rework because I want to keep my au but also adapting it into my own thing is something I really wanna do 😛

They both have family issues!! Jago is running from his dad who he thinks wants to kill him and Inuri is trying to keep her sister from spiraling!!1 so they started a band. You know as you do. There;s one more but I don’t think I’ll be able to get her done in time :[ she’s their drummer so yk

REF SHEET TIME MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR (it’s almost July.. that’s why… almost July….)

I’m so excited to start writing about this guy, he’s so neat. The whole thing with the Dalshams and Serens is that there’s three different groups of Elves, ones that live in the desert (Dalshams), ones that live in central city (Serens) and ones that are dirt poor farmers (Lloers). The Dalshams and Serens are both decently wealthy (most of the time) and so they don’t like each other because of politics. And their respective governments both want More money for different reasons. And This Fella gets stuck in a lot of the violence between them for remarkably supernatural reasons. And by that I mean a vengeful spirit of war is attached to him. Anyways. I really really want warak enab now

More ref sheet time YEAAAHH this one is my favorite he’s very nice. He’s holding the bow in the wrong hand considering only one of his eyes works but jus ignor it!

I’ll talk more about the infested later but basically they’re a result of the dead god under Siorghlas. There are these things called ulcers around the map that are openings into the body of the dead god and they have paracytes in them that attack and latch onto people and turn them into zombies. The zombies only respond to the orders of the Eigengrau (the god) and they attack everything until they can get ahold of clarite, which is like a relic that gives the host their autonomy back. That’s what happened to murdoch. Which sucks. Because he’s a very chill guy and doesn’t deserve that mess. It’s cooler than just that but I’ll explain later. He’s a good cook too but he’s not very. Smart.

Gonna jabber about these guys for a second yessss their drawings are so rough but it gave me time to think about them teehee

I’ll keep it quick because I am bad at explaining things!! All of these guys are former leaders of their respective people who were disgraced in some way and died early as a result. In chronological order

Kemboja and Gunum Zelusa (dragon bitches) were Azhodeyan Royalty, Gunum the Queen and Kemboja her husband. They sucked. Everyone hated them. Their son however, prince Kemenan, was pretty popular for his politeness and willingness to help his people despite his parents being soulless politicians. When the Zelusas found out there was a high altitude region of cliffs and mountains that were actually scaleable in comparison to the much taller mountains surrounding Siorghlas, one that they could use as a gateway to and from the skies, they sent “patrols” down to claim it. Unfortunately there were people already living there so those patrols were more like battalions. The people who lived there, the Timmeaq, had nothing close to the weapons wielded by the Azhodeyans to defend themselves with. Many were captured and brought back up to the skies and others were killed. When Prince Kemenan found out what his parents were doing, he was outraged. Because wow who tf does that. He staged a coup and killed his parents because they Sucked and everyone Hated them. Me too everyone and Me

King Muharib Aaraes (red lionfish guy) was a king of the Matsia who was loved by his people and respected by his peers. He had a secret relationship with an Elven duke and everything was great because they were soooo so in love and happy. With tensions rising among the different factions of Elves, the duke ended up being married off to the Elven Princess to prevent a trade war and he chose his people over his love. Muharib was not happy about this and, as any sane person would, sent his people off to war with the elves. It was bad. So bad that three years in - before the war was over - the Matsia that didn’t go to war for medical reasons or otherwise stormed Muharib’s home and killed him. Tons of Matsia and Elven soldiers never went back to their families, and the ones that did were permanently injured or mentally changed forever. Muharib went from being universally loved to his legacy being spat on by his own people.

Sovereign Newyn Limose (Just the Lady) presided over a sizable group of lower-class Elves in the northern region of Siorghlas. Compared to her Elven superiors, she was fairly down to earth and sympathetic to her people, often working with her son and partner to provide direct services to small agricultural operations and holding events that raised resources for the people who needed them, doing what she could with what she had. Under her, for a long time, her people were prosperous. Over the years, Newyn’s superiors noticed this boom in food production and decided to take advantage of it. Higher food exports, tax jumps for the poor where there were cuts for the wealthy, and stagnant pay. Newyn, paralyzed by a fear of conflict between her and the Elven Royal Family, did nothing. Her partner and son pleaded for her to take some kind of action, or at least address her people, but she did nothing. When her advisor recommended she attend a talk with her superiors, she did nothing. When word came of a potentially dire winter, she did nothing. When that winter hit, her son, her partner, and more than half of her people died. She did nothing. She died alone in her sleep of illness. She;s actually pretty sad damn. The other two (three??) suck she is just Sad,, Sorry lmao

Reworked the refs for artfight so that they look Better because they kinda sucked before. Also Aurweyn is FINALLY DONE THANK THE LORD. She gave me hell at every opportunity. I’ve got a couple more on the way that I can eventually get done in uhh lemme check four days and one hour. I should be fine
