Random BG3 Headcanon:

Gale and Halsin wind up starting their own book club. It all starts with swapping books and getting into intense literary debate around the camp fire much to the frustration of the others whilst Astarion plays devil's advocate for his own amusement.

Since he's always reading in camp, Astarion joins them. After the game ends, they all visit Gale's tower one evening a month to discuss the books they've read etc whilst drinking wine and eating various biscuits and cakes that Gale's baked. Tara the tressym also joins them, but she's extremely judgemental about their taste in literature and their 'hot takes' on literary criticism.

When picking books, Gale and Halsin will read pretty much anything -- though I imagine Halsin would be into the books you take to read on holidays, and Gale would be into poetry whilst Astarion is into classics. Though they all end up reading smutt...
