Idk if this is at all going to be representative of the rest of the series but the frequency of the last two is really interesting and I am wondering what all they have planned for the future, especially with them pulling in old references like Sips buying Honeydew Inc. Big lore plans or not, it is a lot of fun to see all the references to past series and new additions to the lore!
Thoughts on the Episode Under the Cut:
On that note, Sips' comments about having cloning technology and not being sure if the others have the same access to that technology while JF2!Xephos has expressed concerns that he (who usually is in control of the cloning chaos) is a clone is really interesting. Is Prime!Xephos (or just Yoglabs!Xephos depending on your opinions of the fate of Prime!Xephos) pulling the strings even behind Sips? Letting him know about the cloning, but letting him think that he is one of the select few who knows about/has access to it is a really good way to take advantage of C!Sips' ego and make him feel in control while being able to use that feeling of safety/being in power against him (giving him the weapon also helps lull him into a false sense of security).
His being cagey about his other investments is also really interesting because C!Sips is always one to take an opportunity to make a joke when given such an easy opportunity, so in not doing that and refusing to talk about the subject even as a joke potentially hints that he has more information about the situation than he is letting on. At the same time, if you take his comments about inheriting the company in the same way as Jack not knowing where the magic beans came from (when it came to not knowing anything about the overseer realm) then it is even more likely that someone, likely (but not necessarily) a version of Xephos has plans going on in the background.
Further, the plan would likely take one of two general forms 1) something where it is important that Honeydew is not the head of the company on paper (and in this case Honeydew selling the company to Sips was part of the plan) or 2) something oriented towards getting the company back into Honeydew's ownership (potentially further tanking the value or reputation of the company, forcing its sale where Honeydew/Xephos/Yoglabs can then acquire it again). In this second case, the initial sale of the company would have been truly an accident/mistake by Honeydew and the rest of this is just an attempt to fix it.
(that is, of course, if the very limited information we currently have is accurate and/or that the overall plot makes sense which for a comedy series, is not strictly necessary lol)
K so this is something i havent been able to stop thinking about-
I really associate schlatt with sips??? For some reason??? Idk if its cause their characters in their respective rps (sips co and the dream smp) are American capitalist kinda evil dudes but uh. Yeah.
