JUSTIFY HAS WON THE TRIPLE CROWN
JUNE 9TH, 2018 2 minutes 28.18 seconds
Jockey: Mike Smith, the oldest jockey in history to win the triple crown
Trainer: Bob Baffert, the second trainer to secure two Triple Crown wins
Owners: China Horse Club, Head of Plains Partners, Starlight Racing & WinStar Farm
Breeder: John D. Gunther
Horse: Justify, 6-0-0, 1,268 lbs, 16.3 hands high. Second undefeated Triple Crown winner after Seattle Slew in 1977. Breaker of the Apollos Curse dated back to 1882. He was foaled March 28, 2015 from sire Scat Daddy and Dam Stage Magic. He was purchased at Keenland for $500,000 in 2016 and has a total of $3,798,000 in earnings.

Largely unsuccessful at stud, he was given to the Army Remount Service's breeding program for the U. S. Cavalry. Upon his retirement from stud, he lived out his days on a Wyoming ranch, where he died at the age of 21.

Try again.
