'Star Trek's Patrick Stewart, a noted 'Schitt's Creek' stan, got his chance to moderate a discussion with the cast.
Star Trek actor and noted Schitt's Creek obsessive Patrick Stewart got his wish and then some. Stewart made it known during an interview released last month that he would very much like to get to meet a cast member from the hit Pop TV Canadian comedy. Well, he got to meet four of 'em.
Stewart moderated a virtual Q&A session with Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, and Annie Murphy in which he got to geek out with his fellow thespians and talk all things Schitt's Creek. In EW's exclusive clip from that conversation, Stewart asks the cast what memories from making the award-winning series will always stick with them, and he becomes absolutely floored when he realizes this was Dan's first script.
And, yes, tears ensued as everyone relived those emotional moments.
Stewart was chatting with The Gold Derby about various topics, including what he's been watching these days. "We have become addicted to Schitt's Creek," he said, "and at first I thought, 'Oh no, no, no, no, no. This is not going to be my kind of material at all.' I'm now obsessed with it!"
Before getting into his thoughts on "the style of the performances," he mentioned, "I hope one day I get to meet one of the actors and I can talk to them about this." Now look at Schitt's Creek. Fulfilling dreams!
Most recent rescue, he is called Sir Patrick.
Sir Patrick is a blessing to this world, please give him all the love in the world on my behalf
everyone tell Sir Patrick you love him

Rewatching Wonder Woman when you know Sir Patrick is Ares like
Sir Patrick headcanon
I headcanon that in some bizarre AU, Sir Patrick is actually Etta's father, and Ares is not Sir Patrick, he just TOOK the form of Sir Patrick when he went to meet with Diana in Belgium.
Real!Sir Patrick:
1. Really does want peace at any cost
2. Respects women
3. Believed in Steve Trevor and wanted to keep the squad safe from the gala.
4. Loves his daughter and 100% supports her having a job and being a woman's rights activist
Diana has a moment of panic when she returns to London and Real!Sir Patrick is waiting with Etta at the train station "I DESTROYED YOU! HOW DID YOU RETURN?? THE LASSO COMPELS YOU TO TELL THE TRUTH!"
It's a bit awkward after that, but Sir Patrick has seen worse cases of soldiers returning from war, and Etta takes Diana home to her small but comfortable apartment to stay.
Sir Patrick dies a few months after the armistice is signed (that cane? His limp? Yeah, he was more sick than he let on, and ending the war pretty much wiped him out) and he leaves his small fortune to his daughter and makes her promise to live the life she wants, not the life the world wants her to live. Etta goes on to become the best spy in England (and Europe), and throughout her career she occasionally crosses paths with a certain Diana Prince, who has become somewhat of a legend in the remote villages and lonely countryside and dirty back alleyways- a "wonder woman" who appears in times of need or great suffering, and leaves as quickly as she came (she is often accompanied by a smuggler who can command fire with a wave of his hand, and later, a strange woman whose face is always hidden behind a heavy cloak, but whose hands move quickly and deftly to heal wounds of any severity).
Am I the only one who can’t take Ares seriously in Wonder Woman? Like the entire time the movie is hyping him up as this giant, powerful, menacing force. And when Diana initially thought Ludendorff was Ares, it totally made sense in my mind.
But what it turned out to be the smolest, nicest, little British man, I just couldn’t help but cRACK A SMILE EVERY TIME HE TRIED TO SAY SOMETHING THREATENING. LIKE REMUS LUPIN IS TRYING TO THREATEN DIANA OF THE AMAZONS RIGHT NOW LOL. HE’S JUST SO...ORDINARY?
And maybe that’s the point. Maybe he’s supposed to be ordinary to show how anyone can be the villain, and that there’s no “stereotypical face” of evil. But I just. “I WILL DESTROY YOOOOUUU” like sit down and have a snickers, Sir Patrick you’re not you when you’re hungry
wonder woman
the entire time i was sitting there and any time i saw sir patrick i thought of remus lupin
