Hawks with a hummingbird quirk is amazing (and yes I did have a small rotg thing) but do you imagine Hawks would use it the same way as in canon? I feel like if it were a hummingbird and not a hawk quirk, you'd want him moving even faster so would he physically rescue people rather than using feathers for example? Would feather swords still work?
i’ve been thinking about how it’d work!! obviously he has way fewer feathers to use but his telekinesis is so fun that i don’t want to just ditch it. so his feathers work the same way as in canon (telekinetically controlled, able to sharpen and sense vibrations) but he uses them less frequently and tries to keep them unharmed as much as possible. he can use his tail feathers too if need be (let’s say he has multiple layers of tail feathers to give him some extra ammo lmao). using a feather sword or two doesn’t really affect his flight ability either so that’s still the same. and eh, how about his feathers grow back a little faster too. in canon it takes two days for his wings to regrow, but hummingbird hawks would take half a day or less, so if he loses his feathers in a morning patrol they’re back by the afternoon
he’s able to manouvre much better with a hummingbird quirk so yeah he’d be more hands-on in saving people.... like when evacuating the building in the high end fight, he’s obviously much more limited by having less feathers, but he’s also fast and small enough to dart through the building and grab everyone himself, controlling some feathers telekinetically at the same time. but still that’d be much slower than canon hawks getting everyone out at once with his feathers, so i feel like i’m really just gonna have to make him op on the speed front, like almost quicksilver or the flash level speed (but not quite). to the outside eye it looks like he’s teleporting and at his top speeds he can barely be seen at all. and he’s constantly consuming sugary stuff to stay fast enough! maybe even pills made by the hpsc that boost his speed. hmmmm. anyway.... this is dumb thank you for entertaining me
