A/N: Sorry it’s been awhile! I’ve been a bit busy, but I hope you enjoy!
"Come on guys, faster!" Sirius says, moving faster and bringing us with him.
"I think we should have brung my invisibility cloak," James says looking around the dark hallway. "Coming out here in the middle of the night unconcealed was a bad idea."
"We would have remembered to if Padfoot hadn't woken us up to see some mirror at 3 AM," you complain.
Remus shakes his head, "why did I agree to this?"
"Oh, shut it and follow me." Sirius leads you into a part of Hogwarts you've never been to and you were sure that James and Remus hadn't been either. It's empty except for one thing. It's the thing you've been reading about for the past week.
"The mirror of Erised," you and Remus whisper at the same time.
"The mirror of what?" James and Sirius ask at the same time.
"It shows us the deepest, most desperate desire of our hearts," you explain.
"Really? I thought I was just a crackhead."
"What do you see in it?" Remus asks.
"I see...I see me. With all of you guys, but we're all grown up. I have a home."
You are curious to know what the details were to Sirius's deepest desire, but decide not to push it. "What do you see Prongs?"
"Lily's beside me. She kissed my cheek! Too bad this thing doesn't show the future."
Sirius nudges James with his elbow. "Wow Prongs, talk about wet dreams, am I right?" You send him a glare and he coughs. "Well Remus, what do you see?"
Remus steps up to the mirror. "I'm under the full moon, but I didn't transform. I'm normal." Everyone stares at him uncomfortably. He notices the tension he created. "What about you, Y/N?"
"I'm holding a book. A finished, printed copy with my name on it." You step away from the mirror, sneakily leaving out one part: beside you is Sirius, with his arm around your waist.
It was common knowledge that Sirius was a "Lady's Man" or whatever. He moved from one girl to the next, shattering hearts, stealing first kisses and sometimes (a lot of the time) virginities. You just never thought you would be another one his mindless dreamers.
You keep your face sloppy and pretend to be tired. "Let's go to bed. As much as I like dreams, I'd rather have them when I'm sleeping."
There are a few mumbles and yawns of agreement, as the three of you sleepily stumble away, leaving Sirius in shock.
"Come on guys! Don't you see how cool this is?"
"We can see it in the morning," James replies.
"Fine," Sirius complies, following behind you.
James and Remus walk ahead, leaving you with Sirius's company. After a few minutes, you break the silence.
"I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer. It really was amazing."
"It's okay, I guess. I don't know why I got so excited."
"What did you really see?" you blurt out.
"What?"
You let out a sigh. "Oh come on. You've got to be kidding me."
"No, I'm pretty Sirius." He chuckles at his own joke and you can't help but smile at how bad it is.
"Anyways," you say, trying to get the conversation back on track. "I've known you since first year. I know that you don't get hyped for nothing. You didn't see all of us. What did you really see?"
His smile seems to melt away, and he looks down at the floor. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yes, you do Sirius. Don't lie to me."
"That's what I-"
"No, it's not. Don't open you mouth to talk to me again unless it's what you really saw." You storm down the halls as quietly as possible and make it to your room without speaking another word to anyone else.
You wake up to someone shaking you. You groan and turn away, trying to fall back asleep.
"Wake up, Y/N," a familiar voice says, and you open your eyes. Remus and James stand over you.
"What do you want?"
"Something's wrong with Sirius," James replies.
"And this is news?"
"Well, something else is wrong with Sirius."
"He won't get out of bed," Remus says. "He says he's thinking. Which is very unusual, because it's Saturday and he's a morning person."
You sit up and groggily wipe your eyes. "How did you guys even get into the girls dormitory?"
"Lily and Remus did some magic, and, poof, now boys can climb the stairs without it turning into a slide," James replies.
"And that charm will fade in two minutes and thirty four seconds. Get dressed quickly and come to his dorm. I think you're the only person he'll talk to."
The boys leave quickly. You take a long look in the mirror. Something is off. Very off.
You change into your robes and brush a comb through your hair a few times. You bustle down the stairs, cross the common room, and run upto the boys dormitories.
You slow your rushing as you get closer and closer to the dorm. By the time you're outside the door, you stop fully. You peek inside.
Ah ha! you think. Busted! James and Remus are at the edge of Sirius's bed. Sirius is standing in front of them, fully awake, shirtless, while wearing his favorite pink bunny pyjamas. You stifle a laugh. You put your ear next to the opening and squint, trying to hear what they're saying.
"She'll be here in a few minutes," says Remus. "I suggest you get in bed and look as sleepy as possible."
There's shuffling and a squeak from the four-poster.
"Do you think it'll work?" Sirius asks.
"The sexual tension between you guys is so frustrating. If this doesn't work, I don't think I'll survive another year with you."
Okay, yes. There were awkward moments between you and Sirius, but you wouldn't call it sexual tension. More like awkwardness that got weird in all types of ways.
"What he means is yes. It will work," Remus replies.
You knock on the door and two pairs of feet rush up to the door. Remus opens the door.
"We were just leaving. We hope you can do something."
James nods in agreement and they walk past you.
You walk in and sit on the edge his four-poster. "Hey Sirius."
He turns away from you.
"I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry. You can talk to me."
"You."
"What?" you ask.
"I saw you. You're the person I saw in the Mirror of Edisred."
"Erised," you correct.
He laughs. "Yeah, that."
You lie down on the bed and inch closer to him. He wraps his arm around your waist playfully.
"I saw you too."
He looks up at you, expression filled with shock and what looked like a pinch of excitement. "Really?"
"Yeah."
Sirius tackles you on the bed. He ends up on top of you.
"Sirius!" you exclaim. "Get off me!"
In a rush of sheets, tickles and laughs, you lips find his. Arms wrap around necks and waists, fingers explore bodies, and smiles are more contagious than ever.
