Request: can i get a hp ship?? i’m 5’3, skinny, shoulder length purple hair, green eyes, and i’m a slytherin 🐍 i like being in the woods because i find it calming. i’m also very musically inclined, i play 3 instruments, i collect vinyl records, and i listen to music pretty much 24/7. plus, i collect rocks and old bottles i find in the creek or elsewhere. thank you ! 🖤
A/N: I don’t know why, but this particular request made me so inspired that I dropped everything I was doing and started writing. If anyone has any ship requests don’t hesitate to ask. But do make sure that you say the more interesting things about you like @golddustcoven. I tend to focus on interests and personalities more than appearances. Any request from before won’t be taken into consideration. I also wrote that you could sing really well. I hope it’s not that bad? Also, this turned out to be longer and more oneshot like than I expected, o o p s.

Draco Malfoy!
Draco didn’t notice you at first, being so focused with his Potter situation, but you first caught his attention when he was out in the open fields looking for a quiet place to do his work. You were lying on your stomach, legs in the air, looking focused on some book you had in front of you. You had wires put into your ears which were attached to some muggle electronic that he had seen the muggle-borns playing with earlier.
He immediately stopped walking as soon as his eyes caught sight of your purple hair. Crabbe and Goyle stopped as well to see what has was staring at. They stayed there, Draco studying your peculiar posture while Crabbe and Goyle awkwardly glance between you, Draco, and each other until Crabbe finally spoke.
"What are we-"
Draco turned to him. "Shh!"
Crabbe turned a bit pale. The three of them listened quietly. There was a soft humming coming from you, just loud enough for them to hear.
"Who is she?" Draco asked.
"I don't know," Goyle admitted.
"Well, go figure out!" he demanded, pushing the two boys.
By the end of the day, Crabbe and Goyle had asked almost half of Hogwarts about information on you and they had reported it all back to Draco.
"Her name is Y/N Y/L/N," Crabbe said. "She's in the same year as us and also a Slytherin."
"Why haven't I seen her before?" questioned Draco.
"You have seen her, you have the same Potions class together. You just didn't pay attention."
"She's also a half blood, and her mother works at whatever an 'Apple Store' is."
The next time Draco noticed you was a few days later when you were at the edge of the forbidden forest, walking and occasionally picking up a rock in front of you. He was in the middle of a Quidditch practice and your purple hair had caught his attention while he was looking down at Hogwarts with the view that his broom provided him with.
Draco found himself slowly flying down closer to you. Instead of humming like last time, you were singing. And oh wow could you sing. Your words floated into his ears and he desperately tried to memorize the sound of each and every one.
A bludger flew past his ear. Marcus Flint yelled "Oi! What are you doing? We're in the middle of practice, remember?"
"I was... I was just thinking of some new strategies," he said coolly.
"Getting back to practice should be a really good strategy," Flint replies sarcastically. "Why don't you try that?"
He took one last look at you before he flew back into the game.
The next time Draco noticed you was his first potions class after hearing that you two shared it. He was quick to take the spot beside you as soon as you sat down. You hadn't even looked up from your book, which surprised him since he was used to his presence getting him some type of reaction from people.
"Hello," he said. When you didn't respond he said it again, louder.
You glanced towards the Malfoy, taking out one of the wires from your ears. "Oh. Sorry, I didn't see you there. Hello."
You two watched each other for while. He was studying your facial features again, trying to etch the picture into his mind.
"Take a picture, it might last longer," you said with a chuckle.
Draco blinked a few times. "Huh?"
You smiled at him. "You were looking at me pretty intensely."
He apologized, instantly flushing a deep shade of red.
Snape tapped his wand on his desk, gaining the attention of the students. "Okay students, we'll be reviewing last week's potion. Take out your notes."
At the end of class, Draco almost pushed people out of his way so he could talk to you before you rushed off to your next class. "So, would you like to review the past few potions with me sometime?"
When you said yes he felt like his heart was lifting him up into the sky.
The next time he noticed you was when you two had reviewed your Potions together. You had already been at your meeting spot, a tree close to the Great Lake, lightly humming and bopping your head with your eyes closed.
Draco walked up to you. It wasn't until he placed a few books and pieces of paper in front of you that you acknowledged him. "Hello, Draco."
"He-llo." His breathing hitched slightly.
"Are you nervous Draco?" you asked with a smile growing on your lips.
"No, my throat is just a bit itchy today," the lie slipped out and as soon as he said it he knew you didn't believe it.
"Okay, let's get started," you said. You pulled a few pieces of loose paper from your bag.
You began going through the most recent potion, Polyjuice Potion, its ingredients and the steps to make it.
Draco couldn't quite place it. It was something about the way you wrote your notes, or maybe the way you spoke, but when you explained it, he felt like the whole subject made much more sense.
Halfway through your review session curiosity took over him. "What are those wires that you put in your ears?"
You laugh. "You mean my earbuds?" You take them out of your bag and showcase them. "I plug them into my iPod, which is a muggle device, and if I press a few buttons music starts playing."
You smile at Draco's astonished face. "Can I listen?" he asked.
"Sure."
You put your earbuds into his ears and start playing one of your favorite tracks. He immediately smiles and closes his eyes, like he saw you do. For the next few minutes, it's just you, Draco and the faint sound of the track playing in his ears. When it finishes he opens his eyes, his smile not fading.
"How was it?"
"It was beautiful."
From then on, he wouldn't stop noticing you. Your friendship grew. You showed him more of your favorite music and he showed you how to sit on a broom without falling on your face. He made you promise to sing more often and you made him promise to leave the first year Gryffindors alone. It took him a while to introduce you to his friends since he wanted to keep you to himself, but when he did you all got along surprisingly well.
You showed him how to sneak out after hours and be grateful for the stars. You two would spend hours on the dew covered grass, limbs tangled, looking up at the twinkling night sky, talking about nothing and everything.
About two years later he had finally asked you to be his date to Hogsmeade.
"So Y/N, I was wondering if you wanted to go to Hogsmeade with me."
"I thought we already were?" you asked.
"No, er, as in only the two of us," he explained.
"Oh, you mean a date." Your cheeks turned pink and your green eyes sparkled a bit brighter than usual. "Yes, I'll go to Hogsmeade with you."
At Hogsmeade, Draco spoiled the Merlin out of you. He bought you anything you glanced at, things varying from Salt Water Taffy to the largest cup of butterbeer available.
His goal was just to make you happy and was content when your smile wouldn't wear off. But you had other plans. When you had been walking back to Hogwarts he wouldn't be quiet, going on and on about how he didn't get you enough candy from Honeydukes that you decided to take the opportunity and press your lips against his.
You were pretty sure that every student (and teacher) within a 5 mile radius had frozen in their tracks to see what Draco's reaction was.
You stepped back. Draco smiled. "Can you do that again?" he asked.
You laugh and playfully slap him in the arm. "You're such a weirdo."
Hope the person who sent the request enjoyed this!
