Wait so what exactly is a Sculked? Could you like briefly clarify what I'd need to know about one for your belos au?

A 'Sculked' is when a person (Belos for example) gets infected with Sculk from the game Minecraft.

I think of it as mold, slowly eating away at the thing it's attached to. And, in Minecraft when a mob dies nearby it can spread a few extra blocks and since Belos is basically dead (only needing palisman to live) he was like, the perfect host lol-

But, something just from my au is that it can also infect living people through injuries like large gashes or wounds in general.

It's main effects on a person would be making them docile / less active. And, depending on the person how long it would take to fully eat away at the brain and cause the person to essentially die while their body is used as a walking corpse for the Sculk would be a few months to a year.

Well, I imagine his reign would've been pretty normal up until 20 years before the show, so 30 years into his run. He had been ruling like he usually did until getting infected, which impaired his judgement quite alot.

So, his punishments became much more (convince you to join a coven by all these promises) than (KILL ALL WILD WITCHES RAHHHHH) making him much more loved.

As for the covenheads, I don't see them knowing that Belos had gotten sculked! Or what it even is. And, if they did they would be pretty freaked out, since Belos hasn't been in a normal state of mind for 20 years.

Alas, I feel like they couldn't do anything and would have to live with the fact that their leader is going senile and is a rotting corpse essentially.

Hunter gets a poorly made Flapjack that Teen! Reader spilled green paint all over.

And Goop! Belos gets the Flapjack they crocheted for Hunter after Hunter ended up freaking out over the whole paint thing.
