“Why must you think of fighting, when you could’ve had it all. You had Heaven right below your fingertips, why give up paradise for merely nothing?” — Ciel @siriuslord
Angela was silent for a moment. How observant of a child to see what so many fail to acknowledge. The young Earl had a sharp mind, that was for sure and she would grant him kudos for thinking so far ahead.
However, there were some things he could not see. Many burdens she carried upon her shoulders, he was likely not able to understand.
"Ciel.." Her voice was soft as she studied the child for a moment, "..you bring up an excellent point. Heaven was a lovely place. As an ordained Messenger of God, I had respect.. I had purpose. But even one given duty will crave more than what is given to them.
A connection with more than one's creator creates a distraction and a need to fill a void that was not there to begin with. It formed after eons without praise for duty well done, no acknowledgment from the Holy Father."
Her lips curved into what one may describe as a somewhat cruel grin.
"Would you not fight, put all you hold dear on the line for one whom you care for? Or are you too heartless and buried in your own hatred to see that there is more to life than obeying orders like a lapdog?"
