we are the system sideblog of @mantarella, a diagnosed did system that has been around since dolly was in middle school. this will be a blog dedicated for system specific things; if you want to learn more about our host, media interests, and thing like that, go ahead and follow our main blog!
we go by the collective name dolly, or "the sitcom system," but we really prefer just "the sitcom" as a general catchall. you can use he/him or ae/aer for us collectively if you're not sure of a specific member's pronouns!

🌸 - if ur system had a theme song, what would it be?
we listen to so much music and yet when we get asked about it our mind goes blank LOL but as stereotypical of an answer as it is id say "fruiting bodies" by riproducer. specifically these lyrics (tw body horror):
riproducer's music really speaks to us in a lot of different ways (another favorite is the newest song "knock it off!!") but fruiting bodies can literally so easily be taken as a song about plurality and we really relate to the scarier and more emotional aspects of it. plurality is great and really fun but it's also (in our case) still a disorder that significantly affects our daily life, and the song really accurately illustrates our experiences with mental health and plurality. some of the more trans coded lyrics are also really nice as we have a lot of trans members!
i'm sorry that one is so dark! if you want a fun song to make up for it, we listen to "bling-bang-bang-born" by creepy nuts a lot to hype ourself up, and a lot of us like singing along! (to an english translation, or just to the chorus, we can't speak japanese at all lol). "arcturus beaming" or "unraveling" from the crane wives are some other contenders that speak to us a lot.
🌷 - do u have any alters with an oddly specific role/purpose?
samanta literally exists to help us deal with customer service lol. she makes every phone call to businesses for us, she dealt with an entire series of phone calls to our bank to deal with credit card shit, she called back 3 times over 3 days to a psychiatrist, she dealt with FedEx packaging shit on multiple days, it's her entire purpose. honestly, she kind of likes it because she's the only one of us brave enough to be a little rude on the phone. (also, she's an architect and stem girlie in source, but we're tech illiterate, so i really think she just likes being useful in a way that's accurate to herself (she's very source attached)).
