whumpy comedies! it is my time to shine!
definitely brooklyn nine nine, it's my favourite for that reason. community has a few good moments, especially for the character of jeff winger (especially if you're into emotional whump too). it's always sunny in philadelphia has lots of whumpy moments, if that show is your kinda thing. honestly, i can think of a fair few in arrested development too.
honestly, most sitcoms have at least a few whumpy moments, but they're often played for comedy and light on the follow up and comfort/aftercare. but almost every sitcom fandom I've been in had a (small) contingent of hurt/comfort and whump writers, if fanfic is your jam.

I keep going into ao3 looking for whump for certain sitcom characters and finding nothing. Like I wanted some Will Truman or Niles Crane whump. Oh wait there's a storyline in Fraser when Niles has to have heart surgery! That was great. I recommend that. Anyways, we need more canon sitcom whump.
